Actually, not only does your link not add anything to your argument, your link actually supports my use of the image in question:

Television has traditionally been the most common source of seizures in PSE.
For people with PSE, it is especially hazardous to view television in a dark room, at close range, or when the television is out of adjustment and is showing a rapidly flickering image (as when the horizontal hold is incorrectly adjusted).

Modern digital television sets that cannot be maladjusted in this way and refresh the image on the screen at very high speed present less of a risk than older television sets.

And further...

The World Wide Web Consortium - Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) Version 2.0, produced in 2008, specifies that content should not flash more than 3 times in any 1 second period. However it does allow flashing above this rate if the flashing is below the "general and red flashing thresholds". (Basically, it is OK to flash more than 3 times in a 1-second period if the flashing is small enough or low contrast enough.)

In the United States, websites provided by federal agencies are governed by section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act. The Act says that pages shall be designed to avoid causing the screen to flicker with a frequency greater than 2 Hz and less than 55 Hz.

The 508 regulations are currently being updated and are expected to use the same criteria as WCAG 2.0 when finished.

END of story.

Oooh, look how Bill gets when he thinks he can win an argument. Suddenly he is all like addressing points and making a case. Note how he stopped to bold only the appropriate portions of his text when he smelled blood. He even forgot to attach a hilarious gif of animals sexually misbehaving.

But then in 10 seconds he is back to the same old vacuous attention whoring Bill we know and find mildly annoying. Willing to write any pathetic shit that will get him a reaction again.

Yep, it's pretty funny and childish and transparent! A LOT OF WORDS when it matters to him. Your insights into him have been very entertaining.

"What patterns can trigger seizures?

Some people are sensitive to geometric patterns with contrasts of light and dark such as stripes or bars. Patterns are more likely to be a trigger if they are changing direction or flashing, rather than if they are still or moving slowly in one direction.

Flashing, flickering or patterned effects can make people with or without epilepsy feel disorientated, uncomfortable or unwell. This does not necessarily mean they have photosensitive epilepsy. "

Canadian Epilepsy Alliance -

" Can other visual patterns trigger seizures?

Besides flickering light, there are also specific spatial-contrast patterns which can be seizure-provoking. In general, high contrast light and dark bars are provocative (if there are between one and four black and white bars in each degree of the person’s vision). The light-dark contrast is critical to abnormal brain response; red-green bars, stripes or patterns are non-provocative. Bars or gratings that oscillate (white to black and vice versa) are more provocative than static patterns, especially if the patterns oscillate in the “dangerous” frequency of 15 – 20 Hz.

“Dartboard”, sectored or “whirling wheel” type patterns maximally stimulate the visual cortex and are therefore more provocative, especially when they cover a large proportion of the picture area."

Mind the Science Gap - http://www.mindthesciencegap.org/2012/1 ... a-seizure/

"Visual Factors that Make Seizures More Likely for Those with Photosensitive Epilepsy

Pattern

Some seizures can be triggered by viewing patterns. Black white stripes are the most common offender, and when combined in a vibrating or flickering pattern, the incidence of seizures increases. Although stripes occur often in everyday life, viewing them on a video screen appears to increase their potential to cause seizures. ...
"

Did you check that your image or any of those other visually stimulating patterns that you frequently use meet any of these criteria before posting them?

When I was young I had a friend that would have epileptic seizures while we were playing football or even if we we just drinking.

He began taking medicine to stop the fits.

Now a-days anyone who has epilepsy takes medication so that they will not have seizures. So, there's that...

What actually happened is little Miss Sunshine got her panties in a bunch over me, complained to Rick & the Mods. I talked to them about it. Nothing to this at all...

That would be me.

And Bill can fuck himself. I didn't hit that button until he had twice refused to remove the thing. My only regret is that some poor mod had to do the decent thing for him because he is too shit to acknowledge and rectify a mistake.

It's not even as if the useless gif he is so pissy about even served any purpose whatsoever. He lost nothing by its removal except some dignity. And if Bill has any interest in hoarding that resource he should have been less wasteful with it in the past.

Good on you! He has repeatedly proven to be incapable of responsible self-moderation, or of caring how anyone else is affected by his mental diarrhea. It's all about him. Such a good example of someone who doesn't have a clue on any deep level of what they're trying to say.

Now a-days anyone who has epilepsy takes medication so that they will not have seizures. So, there's that...

Wiki -
Photosensitive Epilepsy
"Treatment and prognosis

No cure is available for PSE, although the sensitivity of some patients may diminish over time. Medical treatment is available to reduce sensitivity, with sodium valproate being commonly prescribed. Patients can also learn to avoid situations in which they might be exposed to stimuli that trigger seizures and/or take steps to diminish their sensitivity (as by covering one eye) if they are unavoidably exposed. These actions together can reduce the risk of seizures to almost zero for many PSE patients.
...[/quote]

And other sites that tell you that 3 out of 7 patients don't respond to medication.

So there is that.

What the one that said you might have affected 3 out of 10 people with your gif?

The one that said that your statement "Now a-days anyone who has epilepsy takes medication so that they will not have seizures." was bollocks for 3 out out 10 sufferers. That one? This is the one you will use to stand by your words is it?

Great!

What lies about your self are you currently living?

I can help Bill with this one!

Bill pretends he is an adventurer pioneering bold new approaches to exploring the psyche and discovering nuggets of delicious wisdom for all mankind to feast on.

But in reality he is pleading with the internet to just acknowledge his presence as many times per day as possible so that he can feel like he has substance. He doesn't care what he presents, nor what anything means. He is just terrified of the howling silence his existence provokes when he doesn't fake it to to make it. If you crack Bill open, all you find within is a vortex of anguish.

So your medication runs out long enough before you post that it has no effect. That explains a lot.
