Nobody cared about any of this sort of shit back in my day. The only question of any importance was who pulled the best-looking birds and that was always the SINGERS.
LOL! Musician egos are funny, including my own, but can be painful when you're in the band. Singing is more personal, and the singer's heart and soul more exposed in performance than for most instrumentalists. I liked being at the back behind the drums. I could quietly work to overcome my stage fright and get warmed up without too much public scrutiny.
As with philosophers, there is a level of positivity required to make things happen. Singers especially need to shut out all the "logic" and "voices of reason" that tell you that your efforts are pointless because Google can provide 37,234,937 others who can do what do do, and many do it much better. There's a level of bloody mindedness needed, to not care and operate with great commitment in the face of public disinterest. Not easy when you're inclined toward logic.

My main jam pal is slightly obsessed with Jan Akkerman's playing, like
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AFHsalOnpfo. The most soulful thing you'll hear on guitar aside from Jeff Beck's Cause We Ended As Lovers.
I especially like Focus's longer tracks like Eruption and The Hamburger Concerto. I wish there were more instrumental rock bands. I love attending those kinds of gigs - it's such a sausage fest and a lot easier to get to the Ladies at intermission :)

Good point! Pete Townsend and Jimi Hendrix each approached instrument smashing as atavistic release for audiences and get it out of their systems so they could live more peacefully. Bear in mind that the audiences of each did have issues with violence. Now there's movies and video games to act as that pressure valve for a largely domesticated species that retains vestigial atavistic impulses that require some form of release. Dogs chase balls as mock prey. We watch people getting wasted or, if we're very demure human beings then we get the release from seeing people getting wasted emotionally.
So Pete and Jimi smashed their gear on stage. Moonie, though, just smashed his kit because he was a wild man.

Well then you're in for a treat. Not only a great instrumental but a great video to go with it.

Neat tune. What was the order you laid the tracks? Did you start with an arrangement and drum programming?
I have a Soundcloud channel that I put my most recent solo stuff and some things done with others:

Pete Townshend - Face The Face
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N_N2kJg29v4
Face the face, got to face the face
Face the face, got to face the face
You must have heard the cautionary tales
The dangers hidden on the cul-de-sac trails
From wiser men who've been through it all
And the ghosts of failures spray-canned up on the wall
We've got to judge the judge
Got to find the finds
We've got to scheme the schemes
Have to line the lines
We must stake the stakes
And show the shown
We must take the takes
And know the known
Try to place the place
Where we can face the face.
We got to face the face
Try to place the place
Where we can face the face
Face the face, got to face the face.
Face the face, got to face the face.
Got to
Got to
You must have tried and defied belief
Maybe found futility in insular grief
I need your hunger you need mine
A million appetites can swallow up time.
We've got to fool the fools
We got to plan the plans
We got to rule the rules
We got to stand the stands
We got to fight the fight
We must fall the falls
We got to light the light
We got to call the calls
We must race the race
So we can face the face
We got to race the race
We must race the race
So we can face the face
Face the face
We got to face the face
We got to race the race
We got to
Keep looking.....
New York! Chicago!
London and Glasgow!
Keep looking!
Keep on looking
Keep on cooking
Gotta stay on this case
Study the pix
Watch the flix
We've got to find the face.
Face the face ,got to face the face
Watch the flix
Got to
We've got to judge the judge
We got to find the finds
We've got to scheme the schemes
We got to line the lines
We got to fight the fight
We got to fall the falls
We got to light the light
We got to call the calls
Try to place the place
Where we can face the face.
We got to face the face.....
Try to place the place
Where we can face the face.
Try to place the place
Where we can face the face.
Keep looking, keep looking
We must race the race
So we can face the face.
We got to race the race
We must race the race.
So we can face the face
We got to face the face
We got to race the race

While the video was playing I was up and pottering around, while considering the arrangement and the changes and wondering how you went about it.
I just assumed the video elements came from a prefab suite because there are similar gyrating doobalackies in your other videos. Or do you make 3D animation from scratch?

Pottering around? I put my heart and soul into making that video, every character was painstakingly conceived and created especially for it. So, after all the time and effort I put into it, It's really gratifying to learn that, rather than watch it, you were just "pottering around".

I'm pre-MTV generation - I listen with my ears, not my eyes
Cruel, innit? Musos pouring their little hearts and souls into the performance while the damn primates just chatter and potter about during the gigs. We've all beeen there. Sometimes the clinking of glasses and chatter can largely drown out the music. You can be at least sure that I was listening!
