lol non sequitur!

It's not just a possibility, dude—it's a fact you and Rick have agreed on.

Mary Midgely knocked Dawkins into a cocked hat.

Clearly his 'mistake' was in using the word 'selfish', and as Midgley only read the title of the book and not the book itself it's easy to see how she became so confused.

i'm female and for some reason i find immense joy in thinking about things that may seem absolutely absurd to some to think about. for example, i woke up in the middle of the night once and started delving into thoughts about mascara.. or i could ponder forever about whether or not the word 'one' is pompous or not and then onto whether or not there is something wrong with being pompous, and whether or not there are different types of pomp, and whether or not one of those different types of pomp might be better than the other, and where did pomp originate from anyhow? things like that... i enjoy it and i don't know why.

i have nothing against men tho, i never have and i see no reason why i should. a member here posted a video of a cartoonist that's main character was a woman who eventually took over the world. i wouldn't want that myself. but we certainly can contribute to it.

This thread is about the hatred that some of the forum members clearly have for women. No one is asking women to hate men.
As for the use of 'one', it does come across as pompous which is a shame because it's so useful, especially in written form, because it ensures that others don't think you are referring specifically to them, which is apt to occur when 'you' is used.

thanks for the clarification.

in terms of your response to the use of the word 'one', i don't necessarily see it that way, but i understand how you could see it that way.

Accusations of hate

But still nobody willing to step forward and make claims about which women I hate, and for which reasons. It appears that I hate all women without reason? Too easy

I'm waiting
Are any brave female philosophers willing to backup these claims, that I "hate" women? Which women? All of them? Why? Somebody tell me.
Or is this a philosophy forum where I can accuse people of things, without any evidence? Can I claim that Rick Lewish is a car thief? Can I accuse allemotion of being a gold digging whore? Can I accuse cheeze wineman of being a traitor to his country?

Can I make these accusations without evidence, without statements, without any degree of truth or rationalization? Can I make these accusations blindly, like you genetic feces do to me? Is the world fair? Where is the justice?

You have said it on numerous occasions. Besides, the evidence is all over the forum.

Quote me, just one quote will do. Did I have no reasoning or validation? Is my hate directed to all females and animals with vaginas?
vegetariantaxidermy wrote:Besides, the evidence is all over the forum.
Then it will be easy for you to find.
Veggy, remember when I invited you into my arms, to protect you, to grope your delicate body, to merge together? Does that sound like "hate" to you? Does my offer, sound like hate, or, love? Don't you love me?

I'm not delicate. I'm a big, butch, steroid-pumped shot-putter from Georgia.
