I had a dream. Crazy dream. Anything I wanted to know, any place I needed to go.

This is the most well-presented philosophical point I've seen in this thread.Harbal wrote:Hear my song la la la la la la la.....

What would he have to be proud about? Personally I think he'd be appalled at your approach to writing and reading.Bill Wiltrack wrote:.Think he'd be pretty proud of me...however we will never know.

Nah, that's a mangled version of the words of E A G Robinson: "The great merit of the capitalist system, it has been said, is that it succeeds in using the nastiest motives of nasty people for the ultimate benefit of society." from Monopoly published in 1941.

I'm not ashamed to admit that I long for Harbal's return from his philosophical Viking quest. I would like to eat chocolate while he curses at some people on these forums. Such a vision promises spiritual fulfilment far exceeding any other ideas I've seen presented by anyone.Harbal wrote:I want to be a Viking. Stuff happens to Vikings that philosophers can only dream about. I'm swapping my thinking cap for a helmet with horns sticking out of it. Now where's my long boat, I'm bound for the far side of the Atlantic.
