AS
I grew up with warner bros & walt disney cartoons. Here, in greece, they used to translate those cartoons (we watched them with greek voice-overs, I hope you understand what I mean). They are cute, sweet, innocent.. Nothing like contemporary cartoons, like Pokemon, etc. Thank you for reminding me my childhood
You probably are familiar with the "clean/innocent" version of the following song (from "Sesame street"), now I present you the censored one. Enjoy

(since you are a mom there is a chance that you won't like it, so please take into account that in fact the song is not offending and that "beeps" cover the word "count" and not something else

)

LMAO effie!! Too funny!
Okay, now for some clips that remind me of people on this forum...lol.
I am going to start with this one...I like this version of the road runner because it is different from normal episodes. Wile E. Coyote (when he describes the road runner near the end) puts me in the mind of how I imagine richard baron to be. I have one lined up for psy too but it isn't funny...it just reminds me of him. Anyway, it might be fun to post images or songs that allows a visual or feeling of how we imagine members of he forum to be...lol.

Lovely idea, AS. I will try to participate
For now, I will post 2 videos that I find very amusing. Please don't watch them if you have a dirty mind

The guy's skill is unbelievable, I envy him
And here's a song for bondi:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3cJxIi4Dhjw (I think it suits you, hope you like it

)
Btw, I loved "felicidades bonita". Some so called ethnic songs are masterpieces. I loved "rivers run red", too. Sad but true, as Metallica sing
And here are two greek songs. I know it's difficult to appreciate a song written in a foreign language, but I think music is a universal code.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AQ4QPVd-Wkk (incredible lyrics, wonderful melody by a small greek band)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ExNpmWutNo8
ps Bondi what was the song that this band performed about? Do you remember some of the lyrics? (help me here, I am doing everything I can to make you share some more of your lyrics

)

Okay, as promised, this is the song that reminds me of psy. Not the whole song mind you just this part of the lyrics. I am not sure I know why these words remind me of him but they do:
I've been spending way too long checking my tongue in the mirror
And bending over backwards just to try to see it clearer
But my breath fogged up the glass
And so I drew a new face and laughed
I guess what I'm be saying is there ain't no better reason
To rid yourself of vanity and just go with the seasons
It's what we aim to do
Our name is our virtue
P.S. I like the music too...simple and sweet.

Yeah the woman

Please don't think I'm saying I think of you as some little white-haired cheeky granny (though I've little doubt you'll end up as one

).
I know of Malvina Reynolds from the
theme song of the show Weeds. I guess there are some associations with the show in there, but also the wry strength and spunk that is conveyed in her voice and lyrics.
I guess you're right though, the wry knowing little woman doesn't convey half as much of the outrageous fun as Bette Midler's Sophie Tucker

Thanks Psy! I've been humming that damn tune all morning long because of you!

Actually, she does resemble my grandmother on my mother's side. lol
Okay, here is a song I have always loved. This is what I imagine Rachel Ann to be like. Sort of a very cool beatnik type character....whadda ya think?
