In matters of opinion, most value a "learned opinion", thus the credentials required to be labeled as such are important.
Well, "most" are being manipulated into believing things like "learned opinion" or credentials.
The average person has no money, even though he believes that knows everything about making money, but he clearly doesn't. If he did, he would be able to show it, but he can't. The average person has no real knowledge, because he believes that these "learned opinions" are of any value, while they aren't. So, that explains why the average person is poor and stupid. The average person is just like a teenage girl. "Why are you wearing these clothes? Because all my friends are wearing them too."
If you behave or think like the average person in a rapidly failing society, then you are going off the cliff with them, and into the abyss. The beliefs of the average person are increasingly false. If they weren't, their society would not be collapsing around them, but it is. All institutions are deeply corrupt now: the school system, their credentials, "learned opinions", the mainstream media, and so on.
The more western civilization crashes and burns, the more my take on the matter is being vindicated. The reason why I have done so well over the last decade, is exactly because I disbelieve "learned opinion" and credentials. Instead of believing these things, I look for ways to short them, and to benefit from the losses. So, the more things burn to the ground in the West, the more money I make. The only way to do well as an individual, is to disbelieve what the average person believes, and to seek to benefit from their losses by shorting them.
So is this to say that you are profiting off things "burning to the ground in the West"?
If I understand correctly, you've invested in cryptocurrency. Is that correct? So it is in the interest of cryptocurrency investors to see government currencies fall. Is that correct?

I've heard of "Bitcoin mining". Apparently, it's a real energy hog with centers using up power like it's going out of style in order to run the thousands of GPUs that are employed in a successful mine. Is that a prudent use of energy? And if so, what is prudent about it? Where does that energy come from, Where is the waste from it going? And could that energy be devoted to more important things?

We want the fiat currencies to crash and burn. This is not particularly a secret. But then again, fiat currencies crash and burn automatically. Voltaire already pointed that out:
"All paper money eventually returns to its intrinsic value, which is zero."
There will always be governments.
However, they won't be printing money anymore. We are indeed in the process of destroying a lot of government power.
By the way, most cryptocurrency investors do not understand cryptocurrencies. They do not truly understand why Bitcoin keeps going up. They certainly do not understand the technology. There is just a small hardcore that really gets it. We can't kick out the other ones. So, we have to tolerate their presence. We would actually be better off without them.

Well, you don't get to devote someone else's energy to "more important things". It is not your energy.

So are we headed to a "brave new world" that your investments are creating? Is that correct?

So it all comes down to who owns the most bitcoins. Is that correct? Maybe you'll strike it extraordinarily rich and you'll become our overseer? Is that your hope? Or what's the point of making all this currency for yourself?

What about the rest of us. Is this brave new world going to benefit or sustain us in life? Do we have any say in our destinies and how the world ought to work? Or is that up to the most prosperous investors to determine what the world is going to look like?

I am not interested in "overseeing" anyone. I seek self-sovereignty. I am not looking for a leader or for followers. I don't care about that.
I have essentially a merchant mentality. Other people are suppliers or customers to me. I am not interested in seeing people as underlings or overlings. I do not participate in hierarchies. I participate in networks.
Self-sovereign individuals are not the majority, have never been, and will never be. The majority wants a hierarchy. Let them have it.

So what is the point of collecting all this wealth, then? What are you going to do with it, stuff it under a mattress? Don't you think if things crash people might come to you looking for help when their social investments fail? And if so, will you give them help? And if you give them help, will you only give it to those you like for whatever reason, or will you give it to everyone equally?

You probably see society as a (local) group. I am not interested in such (local) group. I don't want to be part of it. I do not want to have a rank or a function in it.
In fact, as a foreigner, here in SE Asia where I live, they perfectly understand that foreigners are not part and do not want to be part of their society. They perfectly accept and respect that. That is why I like it much better here. I do not want to be part of such local group.
I only want to be part of the non-local global networks that I choose to participate in, on a purely transactional basis.
You probably fail to see that there are people -- it is a minority though -- who simply do not want to be part of the (local) group.
If you are not a self-sovereign individual yourself, you may actually have quite a bit of trouble understanding what I am saying.

Isn't everyone more or less that way these days, only choosing to participate in groups that they want to be a part of?

In western countries, the government will try to force people to participate in the "national group". The simplest solution to avoid that is to move to a country outside the West.
I am not part of the "national group" here in SE Asia. In fact, native SE Asians over here can also stay out of it, if they prefer that.
For example, the government's budget deficit is the problem of the government and not mine. I find the idea preposterous that they would ask every person around to give them money for what is essentially their own problem.

You seem to be an expert on the "average person", how did you come upon this knowledge?
Oh, BTW I'm just messin' with ya. I know why you're kind of embarrassed to describe Olivia's "credentials".

Why would Olivia's credentials even matter? Again, it is not who says it, that matters, but how she/he justifies it.
If the only justification for what someone says, is their credentials, then what they say, has no credibility.
For example, the reason why you have a Pillory H. infection is not because a particular doctor says so but because the test came back positive. Conversely, if there is no objective, mechanical justification possible for what he says, I won't believe it, irrespective of any credentials.
Doctors, for example, are generally just mouthpieces for the pharmaceutical industry. Hence, it is necessary to distrust them. Their credentials are in fact just smoke and mirrors. That is why a doctor must objectively, mechanically, and verifiably keep justifying. Otherwise, I won't believe him.
There are no credentials that can be trusted. They are all part of a widespread system of societal corruption. These people will happily make money to your detriment.
Olivia, on the other hand, is not part of a deeply corrupt industry. That's why she is much more likely to give honest opinions based on honest research.
