As the insulted party, perhaps if I spice it up a bit we can tempt him to make some sort of meaningful argument.

I don't follow the ins and outs of experimental philosophy much, but it seems like all they actually seem to do is ask civilians to consider philosophical thought experiments and then by use of intuition pumps show that you can take advantage of people and get them to fall on whichever side of the debate you favour by loading the examples.

I put it to you that most of what experimental philosophy does is done better by TV shows like The Good Place and movies like The Matrix.
