And have you noticed how inconsistent ghosts are? Some can be seen, and others can't, or only some people can see them. And some of them can move things about, while some seem only able to appear for a while and then just vanish.

There are some ghost stories in Japan where - when you are sitting in the bathroom in the traditional style of the Japanese toilet - a hand is actually starting to grab you from beneath. It's a very scary story.
