How would you answer that question about Obama?

I have acknowledged kindness toward Trump. I do not wish him ill. I think you're overselling him, and somewhat blinded in that quest.
Obama was far less suited to the office than Trump.

Just look at the objective record of their respective histories.

Obama made the most of his limitations for himself and not his country or party (his endorsement was tenuous to success at best), relying on charm and charisma and the prejudices of others, with lots of downsides to that given the situation, downsides which are superfluous to your question.

As a result, the Democrats have nooooobody to oppose Trump.

See? I wasn't talkin' to her, didn't mention her, directed nuthin' her way...

"Plenty has been said on this forum about WHY people disagree with Trump."

No, plenty has been said on this forum about WHY people HATE Trump...subjective shrieking, howlin' for Trump blood.

meh

I ain't fightin' with you, Lace. Every time I do I just get ugly and I don't wanna do that, with you, any more.

Let's just agree to disagree till the day Civil War starts (then, we won't be talkin').

It is a very good thing Trump and the GOP has disinfected the White House of Islam and its potential evil ideology. I think the world would still be facing the evil of I.S.I.S if not for Trump and his strong will on the issue of Islamic evil.
It is not Trump per se that I would favor, but any leader or party who has the balls to face the evil elements from that 'religion of peace'.

Er!? You do understand that that ideology is tacitly promoted and supported by the Saudi institutions and that Trump is an ally of Saudi and Iran a foe of ISIS as ISIS see the Iranian Shias as heretics?
The point is I.S.I.S was eliminated in Syria.
Note I.S.I.S is also against the Saudi government and want to get rid of them.

I don't agree with the Islamism that is coming from Saudi Arabia, i.e. the Wahhabism and Salafism.
In one interview with Anderson Cooper of CNN [?] he stated he believed 'Islam hates us' i.e. in general.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C-Zj0tfZY6o

In his case of siding with Saudi against Iran, it is the case of the devil or the deep blue sea and based on political conveniences.
In any case, there is some signs of progress from Saudi Arabia, e.g. allowing women to drive and other moves against the old conservative Islamic tradition and hopefully they will go further.

Islamists can do nuthin' but hate Americans (and it's not cuz we're imperialistic).

The Islamist overtly rejects 'America' (the idea and ideal of it). The embedded notion of 'liberty' (freedm, self-direction, self-ownership) is alien and repugnant to him. Americans are the abhorrent manifestation of 'liberty' (and the West).

The Islamist, then, is caught. He may see the need for Islamic 'reformation', may want 'reformation', but will not seek 'reformation' till 'America' (the idea and ideal) is broken.

The Islamist is exactly like the Communist in this.

And, as with the Communist, there can be no peace with the Islamist.

Helicopter rides.

Pretty much a load of old tosh, the main reason the 'islamists' hate you is that you've been fucking about in their countries since the second world war due to Oil, the Cold War and the Jews.

Reformation of theistic religions involves them slaughtering their own 'heretics' not other countries.

Given you haven't won one war with the communists why do think this'll work again?

I doubt it as underneath the propped-up House of Saud is a seething mass of the madrasa 'educated' unemployed.

Nope, nope, nope ...

Here is the real truth of why ... [= mine]
I.S.I.S reveal 6 reasons why they despise Westerners

https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/world-new ... ns-8533563

1. Because you are disbelievers
"We hate you, first and foremost, because you are disbelievers;
you reject the oneness of Allah – whether you realize it or not – by making partners for Him in worship, you blaspheme against Him, claiming that He has a son, you fabricate lies against His prophets and messengers, and you indulge in all manner of devilish practices."

[Your Foreign Policies is Secondary]
It reads:
2. "What’s important to understand here is that although some might argue that your foreign policies are the extent of what drives our hatred, this particular reason for hating you is secondary, hence the reason we addressed it at the end of the above list.

"The fact is,
even if you were to stop bombing us, imprisoning us, torturing us, vilifying us, and usurping our lands, we would continue to HATE you because our primary reason for hating you will not cease to exist until you embrace Islam."
That is the truth!! Get it??

they don't wanna get it, V...they'd rather go belly-up than stand

ISIS is merely a drop of water to the ocean of the whole gamut of Islamic-related-evil.

There were political and various factors that enabled the rise of ISIS. Being dynamic and not immutable, the political elements took corrective actions and ISIS is now trashed.

BUT the critical elements, i.e. the immutable ideology of Islam that has the evil potential still remains and will strike again wherever there is any weakness in political or other circumstances at present or in the future.

Note this permanent and inherent potential of hate within the ideology of TROP;
  • 60:4. ... And there hath arisen between us [Muslims] and you [infidels] hostility and hate for ever until ye [infidels] believe in Allah ...
Has you ever wonder more deeply why and how ISIS emerged?

Was I talking to you? But this a good reflection of the mindset of the Yank when blundering around the world.

I think the American need to have an enemy to contain the internal contradictions of their nation does do much harm in the world but on the whole it has been beneficial to my nation although with the Trumpette's isolationism I think this coming to an end and as you've pointed out you may well be more concerned with civil matters some time in the near future so I guess new world orders may be on the cards. Add to that that climate change is going to cause some serious movement of people over the next few decades interesting times appear ahead but unfortunately or fortunately I'll probably be dead by then but feel for my kids. Still, cest la vie.
