Emotions which are refined and enhanced by reason and knowledge of facts are often called 'feelings'.

The sacred emotions of faith, hope, and love, in their pure form are not enhanced by reason and facts. They are remembered and the higher quality of remembrance produces feelings

If you claim that certain feelings define good feelings you should justify your claim. Your appeal to authority of priests is invalid.
