with a sound premise and universally acceptable themes that resonate with the common good a new religion might be successful. And perhaps celebrations of the human spirit would preserve the dignity and heart of good will to others in life.
A lot of non believers celebrate the holidays and make them a time of charitable spirit.
Most of all i want to preserve the benevolent spirit in american society as it exists in all walks of life non religious and religious people.

many religions are counterfeit. Not all. A religion rooted in reality that invokes a higher power isnt counterfeit. Aspiring to the divine isnt counterfeit.
Whats delusional is most major religions. Yet the conviction that each human has a soul is not counterfeit.
Concepts of compassion love faith benevolence joy peace care charity are not counterfeit because many of us feel these things in our hearts.
Not counterfeit. Everyone has inner circles and outer circles and the outside world. Thats all their is time for. But if we make life better for all than we make life better for ourselves.
Religion based on charity can fill that void. Thats the need for new genuine religions.
Their is power in religion. We just need a purer power.
Science is good for else reasons and can never fill the void that a genuine religion can provide.
Religion based on reality and fact. It wouldnt be in our brains if it wasnt important.
Science is very poor at subjectivity and understanding consciousness. They are failures at it. Narrow with tunnel vision.
Philosophy also doesnt explain 1% of the subjective experience.
The concept of truth is in total darkness. The concept of a church and an honest pure morality and freedom of speech sorely neglected. Religion that is true takes the deepest of commitments. Instead of despotism and apathy on the weekends why not found a genuine well conceived religion dedicated to learning about the human experience.
None religious people wouldnt bother but people of charitable heart would and thats as it should be.
Western culture is dead spiritually. Only one third of people here live joyful lives. And i myself would love to stamp out immorality and destructive living. But to do that takes the power of a true religion. To give people choices and options.
To empower the human will to be free.
