Yes, I was noticing that it seemed especially impressive of late, and then read the reports. I love looking at the sky - both daytime and nighttime - especially the context it brings. It reminds me that my true environment is not just an abstracted social melee populated by "humans and resources". If we truly appreciated our existential situation we would be so blown away by its extraordinariness that we'd be unable to function.

Tell me when it's 200,000 miles closer.
Probably won't happen, the Moon is moving away from the Earth about 1.5 " per year. If it started moving towards the Earth, that would be really big news to astronomers.
