Self-direct, self-rely, expect no help.
and what do those things have to do with 'from each, according to ability, to each, according to need'?
As I explained earlier, that is simply one of the models on which the co-operative endeavours of human societies may be organized. Another model is each-against-all competition, another is feudalism, another is the hive, and so on. Why is this a problem?
Yeah, goin' by that alone, I can see where you might conclude I have no use for such things.
To clarify, as I've posted on multiple occasions, in multiple threads, I favor cooperation and competition, with a chief example of both being the unrestricted or unrestrained transaction between individuals (an unprotected open market).

That 'from each, according...' is one model among many, is not a problem; that 'from each, according...' becomes the codified, enforced, over-riding model 'is' a problem (mebbe not for you [earlier comments of yours in this thread say {to me} you favor a socialist or communitarian model], but most certainly for me [and mebbe two or three others, in forum, based on the above poll]).

It needn't be a problem for anyone. Just don't move to Denmark. If you already live in an enlightened country, emigrate to Texas and you'll be fine.
Everyone gives according to their ability, though one’s ability may be hampered by lots of things, including oneself. Taking into account that everyone is in some way hampered, even if by attitude, then everyone can do nothing other than give according to their ability.
Since every right has a responsibility
And free healthcare is a right
What’s the responsibility
Of that right?

Who said this? Nothing is free. Universal public coverage is simply an alternative health insurance.

Paying your dues and deductibles. Just like any other insurance policy.
Why do so many people have difficulty understanding this?
Or is it that they choose to misrepresent it? If so, why?
In the Land of where there’s laws against monopoly being ignored there’s a progressing, inevitable chain of events set into motion towards a single-payer system. Monopoly by government decree. As The Trump tells us, if businessmen behaved in this way that politicians behave they would be wrong, and penalized.
It is written in the history and display of each according their capacity, and in nod to the OT and as a case for the others of all stripes (the aim of philosophy), of every nation and creed and color, according to Each’s ability.
