I tend to agree with you, however it is true that nobody cares.
X-con's are unlikely ever to get all their rights back.
There is a lot of prejudice against them.

Well, my proposed American Energy Party (AEP) will do everything under its power to end this government discrimination.

In "Heller vs DC", Scalia pointed out that the SCOTUS views the States as reserving the right to regulate firearms possession. Therein he amended the 2nd Amendment.
Thus this will be a state by state issue of your'n. Not Federal.

The AEP will take over a State with its mode of operation being the "Champagne Sherry Principle" I have described earlier. Either the Federal government makes substantial changes in the direction of AEP political theory or the State will demand secession from the Union night and day from an international stage.

The issue of succession was settled by Abraham Lincoln and Ulysses Grant.
Any similar futile attempt would be answered in a like manner.

Nothing is ever settled, my friend, and as I said, the Federal government will face continuous international embarrassment as the AEP relentlessly pursues its goal.

Washington, D.C. will have never seen anything like the AEP in action with both the House of Representatives and the Senate being filibustered 24/7 and the rest of the world watching in awe.

I just won at poker yesterday, and my investments made a good gain, even after paying me.

No, just the opposite. If you bet that Washington DC will never see the AEP, you can't collect your money until the end of time.
