George Orwell explained the abuse of power by communists or socialists in his book "The Animal Farm".
Bhutan is a happy state. The happiness of its citizens is in the constitution.
What´s their political system ? Can we adopt something ?

Your thinking is too black and white to bother with you.
Yeah. Why not just say "I hate commies", instead of trying to justify your preferred system. No one could argue with blind dislike.

Man I've been here for a week and I've already got a socialist running from debate. I hope there are more emotionally and intellectually mature socialists to converse with or this is going to get boring.
Seriously, are there any socialists or communists who would like to explain the finer details of their economic model?

Well, you've got one thing right. You've been here only a week and are already bitching. Here's an idea. Why not look through the years of archives you haven't been here, and see if it's been discussed already, long before you arrived... to bitch...
Just a word of advice, if you want debate? Say something interesting, reasonable and intelligent, and someone may take you up in conversation. Otherwise, suck it up, and talk to yourself. You are not owed anything by anyone here.

Oh, I'm not bitching about anything. I'm here to have a conversation not to practice thread necromancy.

And I suppose you wouldn't read any deceased philosophers, because that would be book necromancy, right? That makes so much sense.

I'll have whatever it is he's having. There's already enough trickle-down bullshit merchants in the village so try a different topic.

Yeah. Enough of my bladder inadequacies, already!

I think you probably share my frustration, Dalek. We seem to have plenty of ideologues in this forum willing to pontificate to the effect that the world would be a better place under economic Darwinism but none of them ever show willing to support their ideological position by giving an example of where this has actually worked to produce a less dysfunctional society. All the evidence shows the opposite.

Couldn't agree more, Leo. Unless, of course, you were spouting antinatalism. (Yeah, I won't hold my breath lol!)

I try to avoid engaging with you on the subject of antinatalism, mate, for the simple reason that I don't understand it.

That's alright, Leo. Many don't. It's counterintuitive to all lifeforms, and I realise it takes a big shift in perspective. Unfortunately, I'm not very good at explaining it either. Sad really, because it's so intuitive to me, that I can't imagine thinking any other way. But I do understand peoples' automatic resistance to it. I'm trying to be satisfied with practicing what I believe, and leaving it at that.
Having said that, I'll still rant about the absurdity of existence, and how its better to leave others' free of the tread/grist mill.

It's more a matter of bafflement than antipathy. My best guess is that you were probably weaned too early.

No, it's just that it makes sense to me. Has nothing to do with emotion. Actually, its quite unemotional.
Perhaps, someday, I'll endeavour to explain it in a thread, but I would only do it on condition that I not be interrupted in the flow by unthought objections, and I don't see that happening on this forum. Note that I don't object to people asking for reasonable clarification, but I see no point in setting myself up for a pointless bitchfest, like those between theists/atheists, or capitalists/socialists.

I knew very little about it until I'd seen you refer to it a few times and so I did a bit of background reading on the subject. After doing that I'm confident that I now know even less about it.
