Namasté, Iya

In Yoruba, "Iya" means 'Mother' and connotes 'matriarch.'
An additional generic name that means "mother" in Hungarian is Anya.

And do you know Yoruba Rachel?
Yes, I can understand it better than speak it; Yoruba has but a recent history on paper. Reading it is a whole other matter.
Anyway, I'm proud of myself for learning it so make room for the ego, please... I earned four college credits-by-evaluation, and did not need to take a regular (required) course in "Non-Western" history.

Musa, I wish I had never told you my name like that.

Yes, the pics are very cool.
I've ridden a camel once,
also I never went to school
on a camel. That would've been
cool though.

Rachel,
do you live in Yoruba now?

Musa... I've been there, riding a camel. Just put my face on her with jeans and you've got a good ole pic as ever.

I remember reading a chat transcript of some multiplayer game, in which one player from the U.S. did not believe another player, when they said they were from an Arabian country because it supposedly did not have any electricity, let alone computers and the internet. At the end of the conversation the Arab said something along the lines of "Bye, gotta go ride my camel to school."

Yoruba is not a place, but an ancient language and culture from Nigeria and surroundings.
