Yes, sigh. It's a madness. I'm waiting to see how it turns on itself. Have you noticed how severely self-intoxicated people become even more desperate and crazy if they feel that their supposed "brilliance" is being ignored or challenged? It's as if they've become god-like in their own mind, and cannot fathom or accept their actual insignificance and limitations. I'm guessing they'll ultimately go head-to-head with others who feel the same rabid drive for validity and supremacy. I can only hope they don't destroy everything for everyone else in the process. THEY are the ones they've been warning everyone about.

Actually I hadn't forgotten at all. I spoke to my niece on the phone only last night because she'll be moving into your part of the world this very week. (University of Waterloo.) I warned her to behave demurely, speak softly and carry a big stick if she needs to venture over the border. I also told her the Canucks were mostly harmless so I hope I wasn't lying to her.
