No, I'm not interested in long, slow propaganda videos. If it opens with a heavy beat and approaching blocks of text, I'm gone.
When you referred to ancient religions, I thought you meant, like Hindu, Greek, Egyptian, Norse, Aztec.... even the gods in Gilgamesh (presumed antecedents of Abrahamic group) were male and female, separate entities. The odd androgyn or hermaphrodite is an exception, I think, rather than the rule. I guess because people have known about sex for a long time and couldn't imagine the gods going without.
Gen I
26 ¶And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
Them. Male and female from the outset. It's not till Chapter II that he plants the garden and clones his single specimen. Clearly stories rom two different traditions, inexpertly merged.
But then, why would we be more concerned with this god than any of the others? Because his followers affect our lives. Further on in the same book, he very takes sides and expresses himself in a distinctly masculine way. It hardly matters if he started out as a hermaphrodite: once the sex was chosen, the behaviour was consistent - and remains so.
Androgynous is not the same as hermaphrodite.
http://biblehub.com/genesis/5-2.htm
"He created them male and female and blessed them. And he named them "Mankind" when they were created."
We are generally concerned with whatever Gods are in our societies and surroundings.

According some dictionaries, they are pretty much interchangeable. But I did say
or. The Jehovah metaphor wouldn't require a lot of adjustment to the hormone dosage if he had started out as indeterminate, rather than dual. It still doesn't matter, because what we have to deal with is not what somebody sometime may have worshipped, but what they worship
now.

e osso dalle mie ossa.
La si chiamerà donna
perché dall'uomo è stata tolta».
Where have you read so "clearly" that Eve was called Adam????

I hear you but the traditions I know of all say that God does not change.
If anyone's God did change that was said not to, then all the new should be discarded and a return to the old beliefs would be in order lest some say that God's image was corrupted.

I hear you but the traditions I know of all say that God does not change.
They lie. Gods adapt to the fortunes and attitudes of the people who worship them.
then all the new should be discarded and a return to the old beliefs
That doesn't sound like a viable idea. Besides, some of them were --- unsavoury.
Why don't you save us all a lot of aggravation and just toss him in the bin with Thor, Chu Jung and Ankou?

Malachi 3:6 For I am the Lord, I change not;
The God I promote, that being the God within you, changes and evolves along with mankind.
The revealed God though, as that quote indicates, mankind is stuck with forever.
All Christians can do and increasingly do is ignore Yahweh's immoral ass.
I agree that he should be tossed in with all the other mythical Gods you named. He has retarded mankind's search for civilized living long enough.

Genesis 5:2 Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.
The Jews did not capitalize and adam can mean society or an individual.
English capitalizes and sometimes puts it in where it should not be.

Well, I haven't found this, really, no mention of this or these adam.

So, male and female created them...
God blessed them...
What Bible do you read?

Note that adam is defined as man and mankind.
This is a Jewish myth and this is the Jewish O.T.

Thank you Greatest I am.
You refer to the Torah? The O.T.? To say the truth I have checked, but didn't found Adam written neither there
27 Iddio creò l’uomo a sua immagine, a
immagine di Dio lo creò; maschio e
femmina li creò.
28 Iddio li benedisse, e disse loro Iddio:
Prolificate e moltiplicatevi, ed empite la
terra e soggiogatela; e dominate sui
pesci del mare, sul volatile del cielo, e
sopra ogni animale che striscia sulla
terra.

וּבְכָל־הָרֶ֖מֶשׂ הָֽרֹמֵ֥שׂ עַל־הָאָֽרֶץ׃
