What god are you talking about?
Good question, I was talking about the Christian, Catholic, and Muslim representations of God. Mainly from history.

So Monotheistic gods only?

No Demiurges, Forces or Universal Spirits, and no polytheistic spirits? Not mad at them?

Why not?

I'm angry at any force and/or being that created me. Even my parents. So if there are more than one deity out there, then I'm angry with them as well I suppose.

To be fair, Catholics are Christians, so it's really just between Christian and Muslim representations. And I think you still need to choose. The Christian and Muslim God are not compatible (at least if you take them in their orthodox forms), so one (maybe both) does not exist to be angry at.

And intriguingly paradoxical position. If you're mad at something or someone for creating you, you must believe in them. After all, how can you be mad, and yet only blame something that doesn't exist? That would be weird, no? :?

Maybe my life is so messed up that I'm tired of taking all the blame for it. Maybe I'm looking to put the blame somewhere else. I hope there isn't a god and honestly wish for just an end after death. Then again part of me hopes there is some divine purpose to all my suffering. If I have to say I agree with any religion, even remotely, I would say I agree with some Buddhism and Hinduism. I'm exploring the many facets of many religions and I'm finding myself taking bits and pieces from each one to create something I can agree with.

That makes sense. Hinduism and Buddhism were both designed with a common problem in view: "why is life suffering?"

Are their answers satisfying? It's karma? And you earned it in previous incarnations? You get infinite existences through reincarnation, and until you do your dharma and become enlightened, you're trapped on this wheel of samsara? That works for you?

Or is it what I think, that you're feeling you haven't earned and don't deserve the suffering you see /experience? I'm thinking it's maybe that...?

A tough position to be in, for sure. Just for my own peace of mind: should this tiredness ever come to the point that you consider taking your own life, please go talk to a counselor of some sort. This forum is great for debating philosophical issues, but is definitely not the place to be turning for answers should things ever get too, shall we say, "dark."

That said, back to philosophy! :)

My apologies, I thought being dark can be philosophical too. Not all truths or possibilities are positive. Was anything I said in my posts even remotely philosophical?

I don't think ReliStuPhD is offended, Osric...I think he was sincerely concerned. That's more his style.

Please do continue.

Yes, this. I'm in no way offended. I'm just a little concerned when people talk of life being "messed up" that they might eventually decide it wasn't worth living. My apologies if I crossed a line there. Rather safe than sorry? By all means, continue on. :)

There is no paradox. He only nominates his parents.
The rest of the possible creative actors are generalised. Could just as well be that he is angry with the cold indifferent hand of natural law.

It's only paradoxical if you think that believing in 'something' we might call 'god' (whatever crazy idea you come up with this time), is incoherent.

You two need to hold back on the love-fest. Anyone would think you went to the same church/gay club/singles bar.
