Why not just pretend we speak Swahili and you want to discuss this in English.

This way neither of us will need to use our current language to learn a new one. This could save us years in the argument. Just because an invention or discovery isn't made by a Swahili speaker the invention can be used and understood in any language. All humans can gain benefit from it and this benefit is a universal good.

That you can't see this readily is because modern language is confused. Modern language has difficulty recognizing things like consciousness, human value and indiduality, and the nature of humanity.

It's this confusion that results in the need for philosophers to help sort it out. At one time reality itself was axiomatic so good feelings and things that precipitated them were obviously the point of life. And it's still this way for animals because they still use natural language. Human natural language died 4000 years ago with the so called "gods".

I'm not sure how you are misunderstanding me or, for that matter, what you are trying to say. Perhaps a separate thread started by you would supply the clarity.


What I meant to relay is that intellectually we can only express what we have been given. Yes we can babble. Yes we can make noises and develop a new language but even then some structure needs to be agreed upon and implemented. That has been done many times already including our communication in this box.

Ok not quite 100% apt but the message is clear enough.

By the way in Swahili he is saying hello and welcome (angrily) and then he has family could be friends little vague, these people come and they take his/our water (might be just taking without permission), how should I behave/ react to "friends"? (context) This is my land and my water, my people need it to survive to I think it's grow food or something like that. I should let you take it like the rest those men with guns took all that was his/mine not theirs there's a context here about asking and being granted and taking and being forced (context again), asking and permission and being given choice is clearly the issue here, and so on my Swahili is admittedly a bit rusty so perhaps someone else could translate better.

You don't need to speak Swahili though to get the general message here any more than you do to communicate in English with others, you just need to remove your blinkers. Even if you didn't speak a word of the African language it's clear what he is saying and why he is angry.

I think it is rightly said that communication is an art that has been somewhat lost.

Every word in the language exists in the dictionary but this hardly means that every possible way they can be put together has already been done. Language is merely a format for what we think and say ansd is not the be all end all of human existence. Words will be used to express new thoughts, new life, new ideas, new inventions, new love, and new philosophies forever. Things that didn't exist will come into existence because of individuals and language.

You're right that I'm definitely going to be needing a new thread. I believe most disagreements are really based on modern language and the confusion it spawns.

One has to have strength enough to create value for self and others, and especially to enforce it!
