'coz that's how Eliot wrote it. It's as relevant to the juxtaposition of burning and philosophy as any other poem.

Fixated formulaic foggery.
Leonardo wouldn't fit in.

There will only be peace when you have the United States of the World.

OP is comeplete nonsense, too much are complete random stuff mixed into this utterly useless puerile vomit.

The late Afghan and Iraq war are totally unanswerd in OP, resource wars are but a tiny faction of the truth.

Again, there will only be peace when you have the United States of the World, based on the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights, which, by the way, the executive, legislative and judicial branches of our government have trashed.

No, USA is only the lesser evil of the 3 super powers, US, Rus and chinq land, when/if US loses it's power and another will call the shots, then we might have peace if the new super power will have world peace, but most unlikely.

US is simply too corrupt to have peace, since all the presidents likes to wage war to divert attention from their poor preformance.

It's people like you who make world peace difficult if not impossible.

We had a referendum about 10 years go give us the option of becoming a Republic. It was firmly rejected by the population. It is for the exact reasons you outline, "....the executive, legislative, judicial branches of our government have been trashed".

Thanks for providing another good reason why we shouldn't be a Republic

I believe somebody beat you to it: "I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands."

It's a pity the current administration hasn't adhered to this.

Are you crazy??? No administration in the past 200 years has adhered to it!

So of what value is it?

Oh, I get it, because the government has trashed the Constitution for 200 years, we should just let them enslave us.

I'm not unsympathetic to your plight, but it's an ongoing problem you have to deal with . And , yes I know it is getting worse. Fortunately, we haven't had such problems.

Anyway good luck with it.
