People expect the universe to be exotic, Scientists expect Occams razor to apply at least they hope it will, ie that which is most parimonious is more likely to be true,
Another boring result. The universe is geometrically flat, and it goes on forever.

I don't suggest a career in physics if the universe bores you.
Why do people expect fantastic things of reality? Magic even to explain what makes the universe tick..?
