Of course this medium is at once magnificent and yet strangely limited.

I'm not sure if some individuals are unable to see me or if I need to attempt to express my philosophical fruits in yet even other ways...
Please, spare us!
Within this forum, and in my life, I have developed & discovered some really amazing things. At least I feel these things are amazing. ...
Of which you've said nothing.
 • * Accidentally, through a quite strange epiphany, I discovered and I am still developing a new form of union organizing. The third form of organizing. At this point I call it, The Way.
Of which you've said nothing about how it differs from other ways to organize a union.
* I have defined and accepted my own personal religion; Organized Labor.
Well, you did need to replace the one you lost I suppose.
* Thirdly, I am in the process of discovering & developing an exciting NEW conceptual evolutionary philosophy. One that encompasses a holistic view of our individual lives and an eye to where mankind is, in general, in relation to our consciousness. The process of discovery is not without risk and I may, at any day, loose my life to one of the philosophical exercises. Like a moth to a flame I cannot stop this most important aspect of my entire life now.
Get over yourself. At best you're revamping the ideas of Ouspensky and your 'guru', based mainly upon eastern mysticism and practices.
...so, I guess you could say there is nothing that is more important to my life than philosophy.
What about the wifey?
...and through philosophy I have experienced the most important & memorable aspects in my entire life.
I thought that was your moment of 'enlightenment'?

For me philosophy is real.
Philosophy is most important. Philosophy deserves the best I can adhere to in each of my moments.
Then you should at least read what some of them have said as it might help you with your 'philosophy'.
I try to be as open and as honest that I can be.
Why does one have to "try" to be such a thing?
I appreciate and respect the membership.
Just not enough to interact in conversation with them tho'.
I deeply appreciate this forum in it being a most important vehicle that has allowed me to focus, think, and articulate.
Mainly because you've been banned from every other place.
I thank everyone who has been a part of this experience in me, even if you have only viewed my posts.
I thought it was the hit-count that you used to judge the truth of your thoughts by?
In the end, I would define my life, as a philosopher.
Feel free but in the end history does such judging.
...and I feel I have single-handedly pushed a barrier of sorts. I have introduced the importance of non-linear imaging into the formally quite denotative reflection of dead philosophers shattered writings.
Since you haven't read them I think you in no position to judge nor to pass such a judgement upon them. You are also wrong as others have done such things in much better style, i.e. cartoon and comic format.

What you are actually doing is plagiarizing others creative acts to express your thoughts as you cannot find the words to express yourself, which from a philosophical point of view tends to the idea that you don't actually understand what you think yourself.
Philosophy is only REAL philosophy when you live it. When you literally breathe it...
Always the cry of the gnu but in the main I agree.
As always, thank you for participating.
My pleasure.

I've used a few GIFs here in this thread.

If you are referring to the clip of Lennie Small getting his brains blown out...I used that as an example of the usurping of the intellect.

The GIF of the Matador being skewed is again, an example of when the intellect goes out the window...in this case because of injury.

I maintain that there is a place, a strangely emotional place, where REAL philosophy can take place within our reality.

I refer to this place as strangely emotional because the emotional essence is just about opposite of what we normally experience as emotional.

REAL philosophy we live. We breathe a truth, a view of ourselves, within our reality.

The intellect is a function.
The slowest of all our functions as humans. This is a blessing and somewhat of a curse at the same time.

Hope that helped...
Thanks for the explanation Bill. Sometimes your gifs meaning eludes me, and seemingly only comment on a possible predisposition.

Not to be rude, in jumping into your conversation with Bill, but I see that your insinuation, of self knowledge certainty, leaves no doors open for potential growth, as well as your being able to know your future, as it pertains to Bill. Again, this is in conflict with my favorite quote of Socrates. It does often seem, that you would prefer to harm one, instead of understanding them, as you judge from a specific, unwavering perspective. I, and possibly Bill, (if I be so bold), see that understanding is a lifelong process, filled with decisions and revisions, which one second can reverse, due to epiphany, especially of oneself, if they truly be on the path of true wisdom.

Then I look forward to Bills epiphany with respect to Philosophy. Until then I'll act upon what I hear and what I hear is a gnu looking for acolytes.

Well, completely clear that you think philosophy incomprehensible so clear as mud then.

It's not important that you understand this point but I want to re-state it anyway;

Philosophy, REAL philosophy is alive.

REAL philosophy is lived.

REAL philosophy goes beyond the intellect. Encompasses the intellect.

Don't know if this metaphor will help...Just as a butterfly collection is intellectually important on some level, usually with youngsters, to witness a REAL butterfly, it must be alive.

Studying something dead is scientifically important.

Witnessing something alive, that you possibly studied, is a whole different experience.

Studying philosophy
, on some level, is important.

Living a philosophical discipline
that you have distilled is possibly more important as you evolve. - IF YOU EVOLVE philosophically.

Though, admittedly, that's not a very good description, it's the closest I can come to at this time.

Again, it is really not important that everyone that reads this understands what I am trying to say.

To each his own in understanding.

When I use the phrase ultimately incomprehensible that is what I mean; beyond the intellect. Beyond comprehension by the intellect alone.

Philosophy, REAL philosophy must be lived; must be alive.

It is an experience of being.

That sounds a bit Buddhist? Is there much Eastern influence in your thinking?

I watched my grandson trying to catch a white butterfly the other day, he certainly got to know how elusive a butterfly can be when pursued.

Understanding is like a butterfly, it will only land on you when your mind is still.

So no understanding for you then.
