The title of this thread is: Mans Ultimate Purpose. That's important.


I recognize that we ALL breathe, we ALL eat, we ALL drink, we ALL have sex, we ALL move & we ALL have bowel movements.


I contest, that Mans Ultimate Purpose is observation.

Self-observation may be the highest form of observation.


A type of observation that will bring moments of objective consciousness.



A little philosophical but that is the perception that I have observed in my own life.

Why? Especially since it assumes there is an 'Ultimate Purpose'.

Whats 'objective consciousness' to a subjective consciousness? Are you saying that this observation is actually the observation of the external world, a la the scientists?

A little philosophical but that is the perception that I have observed in my own life.

Not really philosophical at all until you actual explain what you mean by this 'objective consciousness'.

I do realize that if you have not experienced higher consciousness you cannot even begin to understand the concept.

I am really pleasantly surprised. At my age, after a lifetime of dedication and work, I still have an aspect of what I call, real philosophy, that I am able to reach for & explore.



Philosophically, the last third of ones life can be quite exciting.

The definition of a state of being cannot be easily shared. An individual has to experience it. It's a relationship within ones self and at the same time, for me, it is a relationship to ones immediate surroundings at the same time.


Respectfully, based upon past conversations, sadly I don't think you are able to easily understand different states of being.

Thats called being self-conscious in philosophy.

I believe the knowledge of this day does not have the power to answer this question. We can suppose, or hope, or believe science has discovered it, but the truth lies in examination of potentials. No one knows.

But, the more pertinent question that we can answer together is the ultimate purpose of species, because we are choosing it. And given what’s happening globally, I believe we need a species agreement on what our goal should be, and that what it appears to be right now, is definitely not what we want it to be.

To have high tea with god. and discuss points of interest.
