While this is true, it is also a large viewpoint of society. Sometimes, being "careful" means not pointing out the obvious for the sake of embarrassment or offending someone. I personally am not wary of either.

Of course if you really try to imagine the cascading consequences of significant numbers of people walking around nude, it can get a little touchy. Even without a malicious intent, what if a male sees something rather....exciting....and reacts?
I suppose we'll have to restrict elevator occupancy to six persons, rather than 20, so everyone can always maintain a distance of 10+" from the nearest other body.
But then, "In olden days, a glimpse of stocking was looked upon as something shocking..." and now even quite young men can walk down a street full of legs, midriffs and décolletage without embarrassing themselves or causing a disturbance. It's all about what you're used to.

How people dress should be determined by the climate and the activity in which they're engaging. I certainly wouldn't want to ski or build a brick wall or perform surgery naked. Being ruled by other people's sensibilities is far too arbitrary.

Couldn't agree more, and I was being hyperbolic in my imagery :) I'm more pointing out whether I'm comfortable with it or not, full public nudity probably just isn't going to go over very well with the general public.

The main reason I don't agree with public nudity is my fear of being accused of showing off.

Reverend Bob; don't you see it as proof of your divinity? Why else would the only man ever to understand Revelations, inventor of the world's greatest game, be hung like a donkey?

It's like winning a trifecta.
