Re: Music
Seems like Otherside/RHCP is the lowest common demominator for people that listen to what broadly is considered as "pop music"
Re: Music
Let's keep things in proportion. No matter how much you like music it is really only sound. I like some music very much, by the way.Walker wrote:Pop songs sing to God about desire, but Bach addressed the Glory of God with offerings.
Re: Music
Why do you say that?Walker wrote:The proportion to keep is, no matter what you think, sound is never only.
Re: Music
Among other reasons, because sound is defined as “mechanical radiant energy that is transmitted by longitudinal pressure waves in a material medium (as air) and is the objective cause of hearing” … all or part of which appeals to a certain capacity of understanding and appreciation, albeit limited as principle to experience, at least the experience of man not animal. In humans, vocal rhythms first originating in mimicry of environment, pass from mother to the developing fetus in frequencies that affect development and attunement to environment. Which is why humans like the sounds of musical instruments and birdsongs. Geetars and such aspire to the human sounds that were present during development of form and that are perpetually recognized throughout the lifespan of the form as bits of oneself. Which is another way of sayin, ain’t nothin like a good tune.Harbal wrote:Why do you say that?Walker wrote:The proportion to keep is, no matter what you think, sound is never only.

That's what I said; it's just sound.Walker wrote: Among other reasons, because sound is defined as “mechanical radiant energy that is transmitted by longitudinal pressure waves in a material medium (as air) and is the objective cause of hearing” … all or part of which appeals to a certain capacity of understanding and appreciation, albeit limited as principle to experience, at least the experience of man not animal. And ol’ Hank, he’s practically immortal, even sung in churches and other well-intentioned congregations.Harbal wrote:If he really had seen the light I think he would have thought about a career change.Walker wrote: Hank Williams Sr... I Saw The Light - 1948

That explains it, you're in inbred country fuck! Of course music appreciation is subjective, which also speaks of the mental capabilities of the subject. Lyrics speak volumes, not only of their creators, but those that cherish them.

No point made son, as it was you that started the screwing, you that threw the first hairy ice-cube! Don't cry to me because I'm jaded, sick of such infantile shit! You don't have a clue as to what pain really is!Walker wrote:Hey Huckleberry.

My nym has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with me, rather a neat little idea I came up with while studying philosophy, physics, chemistry, and psychology, at university. You again have been foolish in your 'assumption,' that my nym was a comment on my state of affairs, or anyones for that matter. Instead of my intention to comment on the 'ideal' state of affairs, that we all must aspire to achieve. Perspective is everything my friend, and only fools jump to conclusions, presume to know, instead of simply asking! Note my avatar that goes hand in hand with at least a portion of that, which I wish to convey:
The spheres of balance that must exist, in the macro (celestial bodies), the micro (atomic particles), and in between (human hemispheres), for all life, the universal crowning achievement thus far, to exist. Especially in harmony, the truest state of our symbiotic biosphere. That's the essence of my nym/avatar, not a comment on the state of affairs of any particular set of human hemispheres, quite the contrary, I find 'all' us humans severely lacking in terms of balance, ALL OF US!!!
Re: Music
Well since you brought it up, which indicates your direction of attention, you do exhibit a superficial understanding replete with limited assumptions, not to mention a punk-ass defensive attitude that blinds you somewhat in your protection-fear racket. But don’t mind me. Do what you like. Don’t worry, I’ll be gone soon enough.SpheresOfBalance wrote:No point made son, as it was you that started the screwing, you that threw the first hairy ice-cube! People claim to like music. So what’s the secret? Let’s hear some tunes. Relax. Maybe some philosophy will appear somewhere.
Note:
human voices that sound like birds,
sounds that instruments imitate.
Truly beautiful!

In other words, though I’m so healthy I purposely walk slow sometimes to fit the appearance and not wear out the youngsters, and though none of us can imagine the end of consciousness which is why the End can only exist as a mind thing ('cause only the physical exists), something’s gonna happen, all right, and although soon enough, it's always too soon for those who’s letters on their been-there-done-that-T-shirt long ago faded into oblivion, as life swallows the flutter of a butterfly wing back into potentiality.
But in the meantime, you have a wonderful name, and that’s not just make-up kissin.
Balance. Everyone falls off the bike at least once. Some fall every day, multiple times. The lively ones do that the most. That’s because motion is life, and folks wise up to the falls they know, though the ledge between knowing and the void does diminish, gets whittled away by the attrition of multiple falls.
Other than that, balance is the natural motive force of creation.
It’s the cause of movement, and movement is Life.
All movement is caused by imbalance. Even the movement of tapping fingers on keyboard.
So, what impels this motive force?
