That’s obviously based on a wrong premise that restricts "championing" to empty words.Gary Childress wrote: ↑Wed Oct 07, 2026 3:38 amOne champions what most see as the better person who naturally appeals in society, the other champions what most see as the lesser person who isn't as privileged.
Capitalism champions the underprivileged via employment opportunities and philanthropic works to the public to facilitate self-improvement. Keyword … opportunity. The big industrialists of the late 19th and 20th century not only offered the opportunity for rags to become riches directly with a job, they gave opportunities with libraries, universities, public spaces, endowments to benefit strangers they would never meet, and so on. World class facilities to which the world flocks, for opportunity.
Have you heard? 4000 or so of Musk's employees have become millionaires by investing in their employer, and many of those multi-millionaires, some even really multi. Of course, that's on paper, which means now could be an excellent time to cash out and create an opening for the next eager beaver.
Of course other cultures see opportunity in a different way, for instance Somalia. Non-assimilating Somalians in the USA, and probably all around the east side of the American Ocean (Atlantic)
This has worked well in Minnesota with the easy-going, corrupt rubes (Gov. Walz would/could have been VP) where the payoff is so much more. Ultra millions of dollars, tax dollars siphoned away from the needy via fraud. That only champions corruption, although the corrupt do profit.
Recently Amy Clobiture (D), governor candidate for Minnesota, gave a campaign speech where she promised the crowd fewer obstacles to sending money back to the homeland, a promise received with wild applause. Of course. The reason they are in the country is for their vote, not for their contributions to the USA. It’s why the Democrats opened up the borders and flew illegals into the country under the cover of darkness and silence. There's recent news that quite a few social security cards were officially issued to illegal aliens by the Biden administration. Large numbers. So, with an official number an illegal can vote with fewer hassles. Corruption, institutionalized.
Crap like that is not championing the underprivileged, and neither is an open border.
