You say you cannot define yourself.
You say you are not a rock, which is a definition.
Is it a definition or an assertion?
You said "rocks exists". I mirrored that. What you are really asking if I am the same thing as a rock.
Null hypothesis: I am the same thing as a rock
Alternative hypothesis: I am not the same thing as a rock
I found at least one distinction. So.... alternative hypothesis holds. Inference. Not definition.

You need to recognise the difference between abductive and deductive reasoning.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abductive_reasoning
And you need to recognise that you are not privy to what goes on in my head. Therefore you are always stuck in "abductive reasoning" mode when trying to frame me/re-define my meaning and second-guess my intentions.
It's really not conducive to consensus-building.
Also - deduction is far more reliable than abduction. So transparency/co-operation is a far better strategy than the Socratic method.

You need to figure out if you're a rock.
Oh that's right, despite shared characteristics, you're not.
You're 42. I forgot.
Very informative.

No I don't?
Are you sure aren't projecting your needs onto me?

Very informative.
If information about me is what you seek you need to be particular with your question.

Same information as all along.
What's the most important question, and why?
As I recall, your answer is you don't know.
Good luck with that.

I answered a few posts? pages? back. I said "The most important question is How?" Why do you keep straw-manning me? Do you have a reading problem?

The most important question is "How?"
How will I acquire knowledge?
How will I determine that what I have acquired is indeed knowledge and not a knock-off?
How will I update my knowledge?
How will I determine when my knowledge requires updating?
If you can't answer the 'How?" questions then anything goes. Grab a crystal ball or some Tarot cards...

So instead of who are you:
Q: How are you?
A: Fine, and how are you?
A: Fine.
That's not so important.
42 sounds much more important.

If a chatbot can answer it, then what's so important about it?

42, your answer to Who Am I, sounds much more important, Mr. Mirror.
Care to reflect back?

Why? I find 42 a sufficient answer to the question "Who am I?".
You don't. But that's a you-problem, not a me-problem. What answer to the question would SATISFY YOUR CURIOSITY?

Said simpler yet: what answer would meet your EXPECTATIONS?

I don't care what your answer is.
How am I? Fine.

I don't care what your answer is.
Then why did you ask the question?
And worse yet - if you "don't care" then why were you dissatisfied with my answer?

Because Who Am I is the most important question.
Who's on first is the second most important.
How am I falls somewhere down the list.
What matters is that 42 is enough understanding for you to answer Who Am I.
It matters because it displays the depth of your capacity.
Dialogue adjusts accordingly, all by itself.

Because he wants to have the answers.
