Been on both sides, without and with.
There is no way I will go back to "without", one achieves nothing by having "nothing".
One has to remember not to desire "only" worldly possessions.
All your prophets Ghandi, etc were taken care of in a worldly sense by others.
I know of no "others" who would take care of me or who I would want to be in that position with.
What must I keep? My home, my roof over my head, my sanctuary.
I am as free now as I have never known before in my life.
Everyone's path takes a different direction and meaning.
I will guard it like a tiger in the trees.
There is no way I will go back to "without", one achieves nothing by having "nothing".

Bill,
Perhaps you could sell every possession you own and perhaps that would be without difficulty and with some joy,
but the real giving up would be, could you give up drinking? I believe that would be your greatest sacrifice.

Some possessions are basic.
If I sold my cup and knife and spoon I would have to buy new ones.
