Apparently, HAMAS's leaders are camped out in Qatar, in Doha Plaza, some of the world's most expensive accommodations. Three top leaders of Hamas alone Ismail Haniyeh, Moussa Abu Marzuk and Khaleed Mashal, are enjoying themselves to the tune of $11 billion dollars US. Where did they get the money to live so luxuriously, while their countrymen suffer the torments of war? And what can we say about their commitment, and that of HAMAS as a total organization, to the welfare of Gazans? And why would the leaders of HAMAS turn off the money-tap while it's flowing? They live off the misery of their "fellow citizens," while rolling in the green themselves. They have no incentive whatsoever to negotiate a peace. Misery is their income.vegetariantaxidermy wrote: ↑Wed Jan 24, 2024 10:01 amHamas just rejected a ceasefire in return for the rest of the hostages. HAMAS is behind all the misery of the Palestinians and Israelis in the conflict. HAMAS still holds hostages, still shoots rockets, still steals all the aid dollars from the Palestinian civilians and feathers its own nest with them in Qatar, HAMAS built the tunnels using that same aid, HAMAS uses it's people as human shields and shoots those who try to flee...and HAMAS whines like a victim over the things it has done to its own people as well as to the Israelis.
What do Nazis like Sculptor think Hamas wants? The same thing that Nazis like sculptor want of course i.e. the complete annihilation of Israel and its people. That's the only solution that will satisfy them. The 'Final' solution.
I don't give a damn about Hamas's Leaders. My main concern is about Gazaians who are dying for no good reason. Both Israel and Hamas are responsible for this.Immanuel Can wrote: ↑Wed Jan 24, 2024 4:39 pmApparently, HAMAS's leaders are camped out in Qatar, in Doha Plaza, some of the world's most expensive accommodations. But HAMAS is the ultimate evil there. Israel would not now even be in the Gaza strip except for being forced there by HAMAS, and how held there by HAMAS, through both its continued holding of the hostages and its perpetual threat of further terrorism -- which it has reaffirmed it will certainly continue, if allowed. So HAMAS and its infrastructure, it's ability to terrorize, must be eliminated somehow. (I suggest by international offers of arrest and justice, because if not, the war is sure to continue to total liquidation of HAMAS -- which surely should be understood as not even being in the interests of HAMAS itself).bahman wrote: ↑Wed Jan 24, 2024 5:07 pmI don't give a damn about Hamas's Leaders. In any case, once HAMAS is gone, then Israel has no further need to stay in Gaza, and can return to Israel...if Hamas and the terrorists it summons can be genuinely eliminated. But if not, HAMAS will continue the war indefinitely, so its leaders in Qatar can continue to gorge themselves on the spoils of international aid.
The situation changes radically if HAMAS is gone. Otherwise...it looks very bad for all sides.

Come on now, bahman, you can't reason with a person who has already accepted the notion that sometime in the future, he will be "perfectly content" knowing that billions of his fellow humans (which could include his own family members) will be forever writhing in agony from being brutally tortured in a dimension of reality called Hell,...bahman wrote: ↑Wed Jan 24, 2024 5:07 pmI don't give a damn about Hamas's Leaders. It's interesting that you only mention the "victims," but never the perpetrators. The ones who are heaping misery on the Palestinians in Gaza right now are not the Israelis, who are only the instrument they're using, the people they're forcing to use force: it's HAMAS.
As I say: with HAMAS gone, it's over. With HAMAS present, it will never be over. That's just obvious, is it not?
I cannot agree more!seeds wrote: ↑Wed Jan 24, 2024 6:55 pmCome on now, bahman, you can't reason with a person who has already accepted the notion that sometime in the future, he will be "perfectly content" knowing that billions of his fellow humans (which could include his own family members) will be forever writhing in agony from being brutally tortured in a dimension of reality called Hell,...bahman wrote: ↑Wed Jan 24, 2024 5:07 pmI don't give a damn about Hamas's Leaders. ...while at the same time, he (IC) will be enjoying the endless pleasures offered to him in Heaven by the very Being that's torturing his friends and loved ones.
The point is that if IC is okay with the notion of billions of humans (including his own loved ones) being subjected to unthinkable degrees of eternal torture - trillions of years into the infinite,...
...then the thought of the "temporary" pain and discomfort experienced by thousands of children who are being savagely injured or blown to bits by American-made Israeli bombs, is a mere walk in the park for him.

The Gazans can. They can boot them out, or sell them out to the Israelis who will happily take care of them. And if I were them, I sure would. And the international community could help, too; but locating those corrup HAMAS leaders, and bringing them to justice for their corruption and murders.
Gazans cannot do this even if they want it. Hamas is armed to the teeth!Immanuel Can wrote: ↑Wed Jan 24, 2024 7:25 pmThe Gazans can. Gazans can point them out. The Israeli guns are bigger. But the Gazans also did not need to elect a terroristic government. They did. And now they're seeing what that choice has caused. It's a bitter pill, to be sure. But the only way out, for them, is to get rid of the bad choice they formerly made, and start making better choices.bahman wrote: ↑Wed Jan 24, 2024 7:54 pmGazans cannot do this even if they want it.
