what Buddy doesn't understand (he makes this misunderstanding explicit @ 5:19) is that recognizing and enjoying jazz music as superior to country and rock is not something someone can choose to do.
lol the irony here is that we have a musical elite trying to be anti-elitist by giving the musically illiterate the benefit of the doubt... he's actually encouraging the illiterate to try and enjoy something they essentially cannot on account of their simplicity and baseness. No Buddy, they can't just 'use their ears' becuz they hath not ears to hear.
