Did you know that science says those with a particular form of mental illness are incapable of distinguishing delusion from reality, and in the face of all evidence that contradicts their delusion, will insist on the delusion? No matter what?
Keep in mind that although similar, delusion and illusion are not the same.
This explains much.
It implies that the delusion and the illness that incapacities accurate cognizance are co-dependent for existence.
This understanding generates compassion for such enslavement.
If you don’t understand that, rest assured there are folks who do.

Nothing in your world, Gary’s world, is forcing you to believe in anything you don’t want to believe in, belief is always going to be about what Gary’s world allows willingly to be real or pointless.
My belief is that I can’t ever touch or meet the beliefs i believe . That feels like nothing.
But then we must ask ourselves what does "nothing" feel like. Have either of us ever felt "nothing"? And if so, what did it "feel" like?
Nothing can ever meet or touch nothing, so I guess there’s just nothing feeling nothing.
I believe in god, but I’ve never actually touched or met god.
I don't know what God is. If I have ever met God, then I didn't recognize God during or after the encounter. And if I ever am to meet God in the future, then I can't imagine (from where I am now) that it would be a pleasant experience for either me or God.
Some in the field of neuroscience believe that schizophrenia is a process of the brain pruning neural connections (a normal process for us) that gets out of control and turns into dysfunction.
