Now what you'll have then is a slow gradual loss of the precedence of and distinction between the classic two genders. Being a female won't be augmented by the importance of the ability to give birth... and the demasculinization of men via the ease of modern living and female equality in the work force will cause the concept of 'man' to change, to be a relic of a time when human's still mated in monogamous pairs and the man protected his family with a big club, then a big bank account, while his wife was pregnant and stayed in a cave, then a castle, then a condo raising your childrens.
There is no such thing as 'gender'. Sex is biological fact. It has nothing to do with how a male or female 'presents'.

"Sex is biological fact. It has nothing to do with how a male or female 'presents'."

A post-structuralist wokie might argue that if that's the case, you should be able to become the other sex by losing the biological attributes that make a male and gaining the biological attributes that make a female, thus changing sexes.

If it's only biological, and there is no 'man-ness' beyond a few signature organs and hormones, the person wouldn't be losing any intrinsic man or woman selfhood by having a sex change.

Discuss.

See the christians get around this problem by resorting to the claim that each person possesses a sexed soul and is a male or.female spirit... something you can't change.

If you don't carry a glass-breaker in your car, you will after you see this. Of course, the chances of you ever crashing your car into a pond are slim to none, but if it ever did happen and you ended up like this guy, you'd be cursing yourself for not getting one.

Yeah, no, electric windows and sunroofs don't work when the battery's under water.

Do you want to meet all the sages in London?

"Having or exhibiting wisdom and calm judgment. Proceeding from or marked by wisdom and calm judgment"

"Proceeding from or marked by wisdom and calm judgment"

"The leaves of S. officinalis used as a seasoning"

Of the three types of sage, I've had the best luck with the third type. The former two types always look at me with condescending disappointment as if I'm not smart enough to be all stoic and cool like they are. The immovable monotone Obi Wan type that has too much wisdom to get pissed off at anything because he understands all things. Those guys irritate the bollocks out of me, mate.

"I love your craftmanship"

I didn't get into construction because i had carefully chosen the field or liked doing that kind of work. Rather, it was the most money a seventeen year old could make without a degree if and when he dropped out of high school. Waitering was out of the question and delivering pizzas was hard on the Jeep Cherokee so i answered an ad for 'metal framers wanted for commercial work' and got the job.

In the decade to follow, i would inevitably end up transitioning into residential carpentry and jumping between types... framing for a couple of years, then decks exclusively, then boxing and siding, then interior trim, etc. I picked it all pretty fast, and by the time i was thirty, i realized i couldn't make the same money doing anything else, so i mastered the trade, relatively speaking.

However, by thirty, i also enjoyed being a carpenter and building shit and the whole be-a-man tough guy construction worker ethos that came with it.

Well.

I'm fairly certain we are all impressed down here I can tell you. :D

All of us do our best throughout life's challenges and it's always for the right reasons. But honestly, i'm well impressed with you prom. I don't think you'd be as good a carpenter as my father but you did well. One day I might show you my favourite creation of his.

I get goose bumps sometimes I am so impressed

He's no craftsman.

I have to agree with accelafine. A craftsman is a guy who spends longer than thirty minutes to install a piece of baseboard because he's got to glue the miters and sand the thing and all that shit because his grandpa before him did it that way. I'd have half the baseboard down in the house by the time the craftsman drove the final nail (have to use a hammer rather than a nailgun because of the spiritual connection with the craft), stood up from his knees in fifteen seconds, pulled his Carhartt pants up so to eliminate the carpenter crack produced by his squatting, stepped back and admired for a whole two minutes the single piece of baseboard he had nailed to the wall.

Craftsmen are typically widdlers and biscuit joiners who build pianos and furniture and use chisels all the time. They do beautiful work but wouldn't last in my world. Nobody's going to pay him what he wants to build that chair, and he sure as shit isn't going to work any faster, so he ain't going to make it. One of these guys is worth about twenty dollars an hour to me. Now, if i were building pianos and dressers, i could pay him more, maybe.

The bloody brits won't let me into her majesty's empire because of my felonies, i don't think. Not sure, but pretty sure.

What you can do, however, is assemble two more bloody brits together (Maia must be one of them, or you guys can't come), fly to Miami, and meet me so we can drive from key largo to key west and back. If you bloody brits can cover your own eating and boozing expenses, I've got lodging, smokables, and gas covered for a few days. We'd be in my Acura TL. It feels and rides like an italian sports car. There are three hundred and twenty different seat positions to choose from, and a sunroof you can stand up through to flash your tits at people as we pass.

Google map the Keys and zoom in, mate. Tell me that Highway 1 wouldn't be the best two hour ride from Key Largo to Key West you ever took.
