Simon and Garfunkle, if you don't like it that's fine.If you do that's fine also.

Pluto I liked that by the way, despite the clashing cuttlery and plates and the voices in the background, good "song". You have something there...

Awesome tune, although I have always preferred any of the live versions over the one recorded in studio. Happens with most of S&G songs.

There are songs for everything. This one I call a song about individualism, one that you can use for reaffirmation of the self. But it's not a song about selfishness.

So agree live it has so much more soul. It really comes alive when performed live.

I think though as S&G goes my favorite song is America. It tells the tail of the ennui that some people in America felt at the time, their search for something more. It speaks volumes to anyone in any country I think.

Bit of a departure but since I am a music diletente and will listen to anything aside from trance and techno, which IMO are repetative for the most part, derivative and not worth my ears torture:

Just such a lovely bit of music from Dvorjak's New World Symphony.

And just to show I don't hate all dance music, here's a chill out tune that is every bit as good as well maybe not Dvorjak, but half the shit that is in the charts these days.

At the River: Groove Armada. Interesting to note one of the band actually playing a trumpet, not sampling it. Multi talented. :)

Tommy. The Musical.

Did you know Tommy the Musical was actually mostly screened and performed in my home town: guess where that is? Certainly a very clever musical.

I would so do Vanessa Carlton, is that wrong? It's not so much she is pretty although of course that's part of it. It's just she is so very talented which is more.

Posted this on another thread, posting it again just because I want to listen to it. And staring blankly ahead and thinking about such a lovely talented lady.

A must in the classic repertoire!! One of my first and most beloved discoveries back when I wanted to move beyond my "metal phase". The melody that comes out of that oboe with its sweetness and bit of a melancholic flavor is awesome. I have also felt that effect with the baroque trumpet music (perhaps I have posted this before):
