Indeed. Who wrote, The God Delusion? Was it a Theist who put that screed together?
The first "shot" came from Dawkins. If he can't answer for it, it's no Theist's fault.
You don't have to read it, but you should. It's brilliant. And I was referring to this site, which is why I used the word 'here'.
I must say I really do feel so sorry for you poor little kkkristians. I mean, you've had it so hard and been so horribly persecuted (by each other) over the centuries. And so helpless and powerless too.

Dawkins is a top biologist but he knows very little about religion.
A lack of belief in anything supernatural is all you need to know. 'Studying' it is the biggest waste of time ever. I don't have to 'study' astrology or numerology to decide whether or not to believe in them. Have you made a study of the koran? Or 'A definitive guide to UFOlogy'?

The conversation is not limited to this forum alone except when you think you can get away with it.

These guys are constantly bringing up theism in order to disprove it.
For crying out loud. I was talking about this forum. And are you suggesting they aren't allowed to talk about their lack of belief? I mean, kristians have only been shoving their beliefs down everyone else's throats for millennia, often with guns and violence. And I doubt if those guys on your link are saying that all kristians are evil, which is what your friend is claiming about 'atheists' (whether or not they fit into his idiotic claims of 'thick and thing atheism). He's a joke.
Sorry, you are wrong, IC is claiming that atheists have no underlying reason to be good or evil, he has never claimed that all atheists are evil. And you can't paint all Christians with the same brush, there are some misguided Christians who believe they must force people to accept their belief, but I'm not one of them, and I disagree with their techniques.
Many years ago a father wanted his son to go into the ministry and asked the local pastor to talk to him. The Father thought the minister would convince the son to go into the ministry. Instead the pastor told the son to follow his own goals and dreams. The father was livid that the minister had not convinced the son to do what the father really wanted to do, but never did. The father was a frustrated pastor, but didn't have the guts to follow through with it. I believe the pastor counseled the son correctly.

Well I think you are wrong. You are looking at him with rose-tinted glasses. It has been demonstrated to him over and over again why his assertions are nonsense, but he just keeps making the same stupid claims. He's a troll.

The 'grouping' makes no sense anyway, but Doc rarely makes much sense.

I had a copy of the Koran and I read some of it, and I had a friend who is a Muslim and was explaining some of the ideas in the Koran. I've read enough of both sides of the UFO controversy, and I've seen enough of the evidence for UFOs to realize that it is all fiction. Introduce me to an alien and I will accept it as true.
FYI, I can see the trap here, you believe the evidence for UFOs is just as shaky as that for Christianity, except that I have had an experience that has convinced me, but I accept that others have not had that experience, and do not accept it as true.

I did not use the term, that was Harbal. And the grouping was not unprovoked as I have noted, the grouping just came to mind as I was typing. I'm sure there are others who could qualify. If you don't like it, prove me wrong.

Yeh, it seems like a dickhead thing for him to do.

Is "dickhead" the new term for everyone else on the forum?

There's no 'trap'. Some things just aren't worth 'studying'.

What each person experiences is THEIR OWN EXPERIENCE, right? There are people who have experienced UFOs, and nothing you say will convince them otherwise. It is REAL for them. Okay, so your experience of God is real to you. That does not make it real to anyone else. It is your unique experience. How is there any difference? This is why it's so outrageous when theists insist that THEIR EXPERIENCE must be recognized as the OVERALL DIVINE AND/OR TRUE REALITY FOR ALL. How does that make any sense at all? We are all having our own very real experiences.
I don't ask you to believe what I believe. I just say "this experience exists too; yours is not the ultimate reality". Do you disagree?

You are such hard work. Do you make a concerted effort to be on a completely different wavelength most of the time?

That depends on your perspective, do you study WWII naval action? I do. Do you study Model railroading, the B&O history in particular? I do. And to me both of these, and several other subjects, are interesting and worth studying.
