I appreciate your contribution, and it is interesting to propose Maoist and Nazi as a codependency of mistaken identifications, however I do think it falls to you to develop your picture of balance. Why? Because Americans had slaves? Right. That's not irrational at all The quoted piece was written at the same time as Americans were keeping slaves and he was referring specifically to that, but we all know that American slave owners represent all the 'white' people in the world (according to you and your ilk). Africans had slaves too by the way. They still do in some parts. Just about every group of people you can think of kept slaves at some point.
Your destructive, woke, virtue-signalling breast-beating and hatemongering isn't helpful to anyone.
What 'structures' are you referring to? You mean those structures that HUMANS created, that represent the pinnacle of HUMAN achievement? We should tear down all the cathedrals because they were made in the name of christianity? Replace them with carparks or cheap and nasty apartment blocks for illegal immigrants? That will be really good for the human psyche. Let's just destroy every human-made thing of beauty that the 'wrong' humans have made so that no humans can ever again marvel at, appreciate, and be inspired by them. And don't forget to ceremonially smash your laptop and smart phone to pieces. The useful but not-so-beautiful creations need to go too.

Now wait! Hold the horses! There is important ground to cover. We are speaking of America, its real history, and The Culture Wars. We cannot hold anything back in our analysis.

Yes, the White Man put the Black Man to work in his projects of willed creation. But he did far far more. He pulled peoples of a primitive, pre-literate pre-technological world out of barbarism (in the original sense) and he forced those people, that man, into the modalities and the content of civilized life — which the average European had been subject to for 1,000 years under the yoke (Designer & Harrow) of European governmental forms: Roman civilization in basic terms.

This is the cultural punishment Nietzsche spoke of in Genealogy of Morals: our acculturation is a forced affair. We learn to accept and adapt by force. It is a preparation, as the harrow cuts open the ground, readying it for processes of cultivation.

So yes, the White man cut him off from place (soil, land, destiny) and connection to his “ancestral spirits” and lineage, and he roped that man int another level of servitude, into another phase of work within that Empire if the White Man’s Will.

Further on, under new circumstances, he did something pretty radical: he incorporated the servant (the victim of his will) into the civic fabric of his nation. But here is the bizarre thing: That man (that African man) never actually chose his fate, nor did he construct it. One phase of servitude segued into (in a sense) another level of servitude within the confines of Civilization.

This is an aspect of history that must be examined when considering historical America and America in the present.
