I've only said how can God sit back and let things go to hell like they were. But you just assumed that I was blaming God for the war.

If you are asking God to let the ceasefire hold, then this implies that God was causing the non ceasefire to happen or occur.

Obviously if one can let some thing hold, then, if that thing is not holding, then 'that one' has let that thing not hold.
