JayJacobus, my guess is that Peace of Mind is a counselling service. I wish you much useful learning. You are good and well-meaning so I hope that you will find a narrative of who you are which includes you as modest hero.
Henry is determined to be a naive realist. I mean 'determined' in the psychological sense however maybe God or what -is-the-case will have determined that Henry lives his last day as a naive realist. Despite Henry's naivete he is probably a law-abiding and kindly man.
