Interesting. So what do you think philosophy is?
(To be honest, I expect the reply to be 'uwot, who is currently on your ignore list, made this post.' Or I was until I said so.)

Understanding god is impossible with scientific methodology and logic. So, it doesnt mean that believer is ineligible. Science is ineligible about giving evidences about god, because there are two different times on the world and so two different viewpoints.
Believeing god is not nosce te god, scientific episteme find standardizing averages and means, it is indeed more global than believers situated. Believeing is a common point despite not global. Because it is very personal thing and standardizing scientific evidences can not explaine personal truths. What is the truth? Not about reality. Science produces the possibilty of real thing and preparete to personal reality as a norm.

Gobbledegook is just another belief system.
I'm almost probably sure it's eligible for something and/or nothing.

Theists have nothing to lose if they are wrong.
So wrong! Theists waste a lifetime in fear and judgement that comes from a man made institution. Followers of Christ my ass! More like followers of Christianity! (Think about it)
There is nothing to fear for an atheist...as if there is a God, and he is good, then he will be kind and understanding to everyone, and if he is bad, then he will be a dick to everyone, and if he doesn't exist, well...that just doesn't matter at all...now does it?
Please think about what I've said before you argue. I have little patience for lying- -to(-fake-)win- at -all -costs sportman -likes- mentally -theism or as otherwise known...trumpism.

What atheists say:
There is no evidence of god.
What theists say:
That is irrelevant.
Because
Atheists say:
The only evidence that counts is material and objective.
Theists say:
There is more to life than the material order of things.
Atheists say:
Theists are irrational.
Theists say:
Talking to atheists is like talking to troglodytes about calculus.
Atheists say:
Atheists live without fear of a God.
Theists say:
Without God, there is ultimately nothing to live for.

Well, just as I don't represent all atheists, I am sure you don't represent all theists. Some theists will insist that intelligent design, irreducible complexity, the argument from morality, various takes on the ontological argument and so on, are relevant. If you are content to believe in something which you admit there is no evidence for, that is your prerogative. But you apparently believe this unsupported conviction grants you the right to treat human beings who do not share your opinion with contempt. If you think this is sanctioned by the god you believe in, then fuck your god, up the arse, with a soiled toilet brush, sideways, because it is a hateful little prik.(sic. For whatever reason, whenever I type 'p****', it comes up 'p****'.)

The shoe fits, so have the decency to wear it.
Another irony: The contemptuous complaining about being on the receiving end of contempt. Don't you just hate it when your adversary bites back?
Methinks you protest too much. Perhaps you have latent theistic tendencies.

Not at all. All one needs to do is follow atheism to its ultimate conclusion -- what atheist Bertrand Russell called "unyielding despair. (I linked to his essay in another thread.)

He can think what he likes. Me, I don't tend to despair at all although I think I would if I thought that there was an entity actually like the 'God' many theists describe. There is no 'ultimate conclusion' to my atheism, it's just not holding a belief in the existence of a 'God' that many theists describe.

Fine. But you can't say that and call your atheism logical or humanistic.
Psalms 26:11 fits you perfectly, A_uk

Of course it's logical as there has been not one jot of a sign that a 'God' exists in the way theists say 'it' does. As for Humanism I think this a choice one can make if one is an atheist.

About right apart from the redeeming and merciful bits. But I'm always amazed at Christians who use the OT?
