And yet you need a license.

What insurance company would cover such a risk?
Passengers can make their own determination about riding in your car.
Based upon what? You mean if they ask you you will tell them that you have no insurance, that the car is unroadworthy, that you are drunk?

Questions? Why do you keep asking them?

Good point; I never get rational answers.

Quit talking like the village idiot. The government already removes children from abusive settings. Not providing a minimum standard of education should be added to the list.

I think you ask your questions in order to avoid discussion of rational points you can't deal with, Bob.
Tax-exempt Charitable Donations Are Improper

When a person or company receives a tax exemption for a charitable contribution, the government is actually contributing to that organization the tax it would have otherwise received. This is an improper expenditure of government money, and in the United States, it is unconstitutional.

If you don't know what those are and you're operating a motor vehicle on public roads - never mind a taxi - I foresee trouble in your future.
Call it an hunch, if you like.
We done here?
Yep.

mick: I've asked you to say something about the aims you think a successful education system should have. Without aims and targets, there can be no such thing as "failure".
bob: It doesn't matter what I think a successful educational system should have, it's what creates a profitable business that keeps customers coming back and attracting new customers through advertising and word-of-mouth.
Ah, like a true believer in the magic of the market, you imagine the "invisible hand" can provide all the answers so you don't need to. But it isn't so.
Not every question is settled in the market place. Questions such as "Do you love me?", "What's the point of going on living?", "When will Daddy come home and read me a story?" They can't be answered by the invisible hand of the market, Bob.
And neither can "What does Bob think should be required of our education systems?" or in other words "Bob, at what, in your opinion, is the American public school system failing (and failing outrageously)?"
bob: ... the diplomas given out are invalid since the graduates are not able to read, write and do math well enough to get or hold on to a job
Wait, Bob ... I don't think you can mean that everyone who graduates from America's public schools is unfit for any kind of work, so I'm guessing that you have just forgotten to specify some measures and targets for employability that you believe the state schools should be aiming for, and are failing to meet. See, without the targets, there can be no failure.
So, let me ask the same question again; American education is a failure in respect of what aims and targets?

Talking of invalid diplomas , if you
google for "fake qualifications", you will discover that the private system, far from eschewing such an evil, is actually awash with intitutions falling over themselves to provide that very service.
lol "invisible hand" ftw!

Any government-enforced standard of education is a failure, starting with government schools operated by educational hacks and their unions. The need for truancy laws are indicative of this failure, and are themselves a tyrannical intrusion of government into people's lives.

Any government-enforced standard of education is a failure ...
No it isn't, Bob. That's just your anti-government prejudice expressing itself mantra-like, as if you were in some kind of mindless trance. "Government enterprise is bad because it's not private enterprise" is a silly circular argument.
Or, as you like to call it, "divinely inspired prophesy" ...

Let me try to explain the economics to you. The reason government and other nonprofit organizations are unfit to provide any product or service is that they do not face the discipline of the marketplace. When private companies do a poor job, they are the ones who ultimately suffer by not turning a profit or going bankrupt. When government and other nonprofit organizations do a poor job, nothing happens, they just keep going on and on and on. Can't you understand this?
