Re: Philosophy of Mind
Socrates believed God mingles in language and the arts as the go-between who spans the chasm and therefore all is bound. Language is an affect an action both divine and human. The art of writing is the art of narrator, one has to learn the differences of minds, have a good theoretical language and love of knowledge. You try to ascertain truth without knowledge.
Every word written has been spoken before. Language is an art, not thrown down anyhow, not mere rhetoric. Writing is an impression of reality. The same is true of painting once it is painted it can fall about anywhere among those who may like it or may not.
Language like all arts with no guardian to protect him or her are battered, abused, they cannot defend. I am forever directed towards things that are all in order moving toward good in order to draw my mind toward learning and truth.

Okay,Barbara Brooks wrote:Such as how consciousness resembles the general process of plant nature, for it comes forth from subjectivity, differentiates into distinct parts, maintains itself, and comes forth from self into a number of individuals. ...
We have a seed the mind containing ideas, drives, and desires, inclinations and thoughts The power and capacity of knowledge exists in the mind always but are unable to turn from ignorance to intelligence.
So we just teach Sciences and Arts but no Philosophy? I agree, but Language studies makes a mockery of this pedagogy. So what can you give me between the abstract and the concrete that can be used to focus the bodymind into an ethical and political being?

I myself meditate but also through the years have labored hard to discipline myself to study and write philosophy everyday. Routine and conventional is ethics in any and every one. The certainty of oneself as a single individual is this spirit absolute unbroken sense of security and fulfillment.
Socrates believed that until philosophers have that spirit and power of philosophy and greatness of politics and knowledge all in common will never have rest from troubles.
Virtue is the health, and beauty, and well being of the mind, those are the best votaries of philosophy. The philosopher's virtues are natural gifts.
Reason is the middle or mediating term unites the universal inner and acts ethically: and carries out purpose. Reason the unity of self and truth.

I will always strive to become more knowledgeable and not rest in mere opinion. Instead I take the arduous path and not am derailed nor will I abate for this is the true philosophers nature.
Only by labor can philosophical thought be won, this is equivalent to a long course of mental discipline not institution kind of higher education where reason is flawed by idleness, and self-conceit. Along the highway of truth as the inspiration of profound and creative knowledge, which can only be won by the labor.

Re: Philosophy of Mind
Knowledge and its criterion is not truth, but sheer intelligence, wisdom, insight, and understanding. knowledge presses forward as the pathway of to truth, lays aside what is foreign.. Before all accomplishments know that fear essential and implicit comes first. What seems to be a reality confronting us is merely objectivity. Talent is likewise this, nothing but self with a definite subjective internal of reason into actualization. This antithesis of inner and outer is our determinate inner character actual realized individuality existing objectively.
Talent disposed in mind is the faculty of reason with a view to render things clear and intelligible. Reason takes a negative outlook towards the world turns round into a positive outlook. The process is the middle term that broadcast, declares and proclaims the unchangeable character, makes one aware relates to of the extremity, and proclaims certainty and assurance of being.
Courage is the salvation with true and false options. Under all circumstances, makes us fearless we do not lose courage. It is a mighty- go-between, the mightiest of all substance for cleansing of the mind. Courage is indelibly fixed can not to be washed away it is the universal saving power of true opinion about real and false situations,
Fear comes first is an essential negativity and natural beginning, fundamental character of purpose to be actualize. Fear is inherently a determinate quality of purpose is, a transparent universal element in which individuality feels for itself. Purpose is the actual carrying out.
Purpose brings to light good do not go beyond that. If seeking to bring purpose into actuality we must think away negativity.

Re: Philosophy of Mind
Earth is ground for truth, contains the Elements, air, fire and water, holds together all these elements, air, fire and water gathers them into unity, into a series of proceedings which earth.
Grasp the truth and you will have no difficulty seeing that there is a conscious universal end that dominates our actions, a universally that lifts us out of the life of chance and change, into peaceful universal world; only as citizens are we real and substantial characters.
The same as the philosopher must harmonize and know the essential forms of temperance, courage, liberality, magnificence, and good as the spirit of harmony.
Truth is more valuable than knowledge has a place higher that leads to order and virtue. Philosophers must make truth their work in life, seeking truth into everything that flows like a gentle wind from a purer region.

Re: Philosophy of Mind
God’s blessing given us is the mind. For body is moved from without is mindless but we are moved from within have a mind.
Imagine God shining in company with the celestial forms, and on earth shining in clearness through the clearest aperture of the mind. Being everywhere and traverses the whole heaven appearing-- perfect and fully winged soars upward, and orders the whole world.
Descartes thought love was the requisite above all of those who try to find truth.
Ideas are imprinted by the mind and by the mind these ideas are received like spirits between the divine and truth.
God the only maker of truth for no one else can be the maker. Not as a particular maker of truth but a real maker, God is the natural author lifts mind up into the outside world, carried round in a revolution, troubled indeed and with great difficulty behold truth; rise and fall, and see, and again fail to see disorder of the climb too eager to behold truth the highest part of the mind where pasturage is found nourished.
Socrates believed God mingles in language and all arts as the go-between who crosses the gulf and all is bound. Language is in affect an action both divine and human. Philosophy is a divine gift and the source of the best of blessings given. Philosophers are carried round in the revolution, troubled indeed, censured, but with difficulty behold truth as God wills.

Re: Philosophy of Mind
Hemingway believed love comes "From things that had happened and from things as they exist and from all things that you know. That all those you cannot know, you make something through your invention that is not a representation but a whole new thing truer than anything true and alive, and if you make it well enough, you give it immortality. That is why you write and for no other reason that you know of."
The philosopher, harmoniously constituted, just, and gentle even in youth. Their happiness depends upon self-control; if the better elements of the mind lead to order and reason, frees, virtuous is there any greater blessing than friendship and humiliation.
Philosophy in the first place few schools teach it leads to a lack of the pursuit of them and understandably they are difficult; especially without a teacher Plus as matters stand today students today are too high and mighty and see no profit in learning. Nevertheless, even though disregarded marred as useless, philosophy by its natural charm emerges into light.

Re: Philosophy of Mind
Love streams upon mind begins to swell and grows upwards; and growth extends the whole mind is nourished. The same love that Zeus felt, when he was in love with Ganymede named Desire, Zeus overflows upon the lover, some enters into the mind, and some flows out again; and as a breeze or an echo rebounds from the smooth rocks and returns whence it came, so does the stream of love, passing through the eyes which are the windows of the mind grows with love.
It is utterly impossible to have the satisfaction of finding all truth. Know thy self is truth, ascends the very process of seeking declares that When truth is captain self-control follows and is most good.
Through a mirror image of self comes truth and compassion of others reveals the path of purpose. What is truth but objective reality, in other words, the assurance of self? The bare and simple truth comes forward asserts not just certainty of self but purpose.

Re: Philosophy of Mind
The character of the philosopher is the lover of a kind knowledge that shows eternal not varying from generation or corruption. Another factor to be considered of the philosophical nature they are ever longing after truth.
Socrates believed the true philosopher is always strives after truth, this is their character, and will live and grow truly, and then, and not until then, will the philosopher cease from travail.
Character is a content of purpose but if we are seeking to bring purpose into actuality then philosophers must think away from character. Purpose is simply transferring from a state not yet explicitly expressed to one fully expressed; negativity is the inherent of purpose opposed to it and sinks to the level of a mere empty meaning.
The purpose where each moment already presupposes the others, and hence seems unable to find a beginning because it only gets to know its own original purpose but in order to act we must have purpose.

Re: Philosophy of Mind
There are three elements of pleasure, desire, passion, and reason. Desire is to be understood, as the materialist who craves sensual pleasures? While passion, is the strong overpowering pleasures of ambition, merriment, and love? Reason exclusively is directed to the attainment of truth and knowledge.
These three principles desire, passion and reason are in accordance with nature of pleasure are three kinds of people, lovers of gain, lovers of honor and lovers of knowledge. Desiring wealth is opposed to knowledge and honor if neither brings any gain. The pleasure of passion is lover of honor , scorns knowledge, and wealth if neither brings a prize. While the lover of knowledge is reason thinks the pleasures of gain and fame only are merely necessary pleasures. Reason to the philosopher is instrument the reasonable mind and such is the most pleasantest pleasure.
Zeus whispers to the philosopher; a wise person abstracts and defines rationally the ideas and runs the challenge of all objections, and is ready to refute, not by opinion, but reason, never stumbling at any step of the argument.

Re: Philosophy of Mind
The highest truth worthy of attaining is good. Only by good, all things become useful and advantageous. The idea of good is the highest virtue. Everyone pursues it and makes it the end of all their actions shine with radiant knowledge.
Here I am most in need to be sure of my footing and pray not am a deceiver about good because whether out of depth fallen into the middle of a swimming pool or into the middle of the ocean I have to try to reach the shore.
The true artist is merely an imitator of truth. God is the maker, who made one of everything in nature and one only, whereas art produces a semblance of the maker. Whenever anyone says they have found someone who knows all the arts and knows more then anyone else, we can only imagine they are unable to see truth.

Re: Philosophy of Mind
Feelings which many entertain toward philosophy originate from harsh opinions, they are the type who rush in uninvited, and are always abusing philosophy, and find fault with it, would rather make opinion their theme of conversation not truth and is most unbecoming.
In everyone it being the organ by which every one learns and this we call good is truth,. Lift your head into the outside world, you are being carried round, troubled indeed and with great difficulty beholding truth; rising and falling, and seeing, and again failing to see what a disorderly climb eager to behold truth the highest part of the mind where the pasturage found is nourished with truth.
Truth cannot be retained within the limits of opinion; therefore, there are two sorts of existences, one seen, and the other unseen. The seen is the changing, and the unseen is the unchanging.
Knowledge to the rescue gives way before calculation, measure, and weight. In addition, this surely is the rational principle in the soul. The better part of the soul is likely to be that which trusts to measure and calculate.
The most essential process of mind is feeling, in this way animals reproduce and have the capacity to act. Feeling one’s own needs comes from the constructive instinctive mind. This constructive instinctive resembles the general process of plant nature, that which comes forth from subjectivity. Willpower and consciousness are the liberations of the body, extraction from gravity like comets do.
