I'm sure I don't know what you mean, uwot. Please tell me how I've deprecated myself so that I can try and undo it.
What's so strange about this, is that Harbal clearly respects the way you think and communicate, uwot, and yet he won't try to emulate, or learn to put into practise, the way you do it, with calm, charm and grace.
When you 'hate' on someone, uwot, you seem to do it with such intelligence, attacking them through their ideas.
Harbal prefers to think and communicate like Vegitariantaxidermy, coming away from actual ideas, and thinking, just to insult.
That's as hard to understand as Descartes 'Meditations' is easy.

I do, yes.

Surely I can have respect for uwot without wanting to be uwot.
When you 'hate' on someone,
Hate on someone? What sort of language is that? My God, it gets more like the US everyday.
uwot, you seem to do it with such intelligence,
If uwot has half as much intelligence as you're giving him credit for he'll see straight through your embarrassingly skin crawling attempt to charm him on side. What a creep you are, fux.

No, Harbal prefers to think and communicate like Harbal. I couldn't possibly do what VT does as well as she does it, I only wish I could. I suspect you wish you could, too.
That's as hard to understand as Descartes 'Meditations' is easy.

You're trying to describe how hard something is by telling us how easy something else is? Surely you could have thought of a better way to express yourself.

I think I'm telling like it is unlike you who seem to fawn as he produces lines.
How many time can you come out with: "Oh, uwot, how funny... I wish I could have said that first..." ? Proving you very much want to be able to say what he says, the way he says it. So yes, whilst you can respect people without wanting to be them, your manner of fawning towards uwot yourself suggests to me you would very much like to be uwot!
And you can pat yourself on the back for being like VT, as the rest of the world quietly ignores you for producing thoughts of any worth other than hatred.
Consequently, I'm going to tell you what I told her: you need to stop your idiotic nonsense trying to humiliate people here on a personal level and start taking on their ideas. Either that or contribute ideas of you own. It's a philosophy forum not some back chatting reality TV show.

I think you might want to rewrite this, fux, it doesn't seem to mean anything in it's present state.
How many time can you come out with: "Oh, uwot, how funny... I wish I could have said that first..." ?
I don't know really, is there any reason why I can't just carry on doing it indefinitely?
your manner of fawning towards uwot yourself suggests to me you would very much like to be uwot!
But only a couple of posts ago you criticized me for not trying to emulate him. A guy just can't win round here.

I have obviously underestimated your status, I had no idea you spoke for the rest of the World.
Consequently, I'm going to tell you what I told her: you need
You can tell as many people as you like but I'm afraid you're talking about what you would like rather than what anyone else needs.
to stop your idiotic nonsense
But it's the only kind of nonsense I'm any good at.
trying to humiliate people here on a personal level
Of course, you're not trying to humiliate me are you?
It's a philosophy forum not some back chatting reality TV show.
I know but I couldn't find a back chatting reality TV show forum.

Fish monger?
This is something a redneck would do.

Can you find me a Youtube link to a video about hate mongering faucets, I really want to know what one looks like.

Harbal, have you lost your sense of irony, or is this a masterpiece of self-deprecation?
I don't think I've even engaged with IC, although I think he attempted to insult me once, which I may well have ignored.
I've just read threads he's posted to and don't agree with his thinking, I don't need to repeat what others are saying, as they challenge him with great intelligence. I don't need to toady up on their threads, as you seem to do, merely to insult IC, rather than take on his ideas with any great intelligence of your own.
So not only are your comments personal and philosophically pointless, they are incorrect.
Now the way I've interpreted uwot's comment here is that YOU passive-aggressively attack others whilst sidling up to to VT. Certainly self-deprecating, but is it irony?
(Clearly, what little intelligence you do you have, vacates it premises of a brain when you are the subject under consideration.)
Maybe it's time to stop with the hate mongering and actually come up with some interesting points that might touch, however loosely, on issues that people might actually care about?

Far be it from me to defend IC but the guy's only human.

Well of course they are, surely you don't expect me to learn about philosophy just to argue with IC about it.

And is that an unbiased interpretation?

Lucky for me then that being the subject under your consideration doesn't require much intelligence to deal with.
Maybe it's time to stop with the hate mongering
If you call ruffling a few feathers on an internet forum "hate mongering" I wonder what term you reserve for the Adolf Hitlers of this World.

How dare you suggest there is such a thing as 'degrees' of 'racism' and 'fishmongering'. If you mention in passing that a lot of corner shops are owned by Indians, or that Chinese make good eyebrow threaders, then you are JUST as much of a FISHMONGERING RACIST as HITLER! In fact, one only has to utter the word 'Chinese' and the Warriors of Righteous Personhood will have you publicly flayed. (Notwithstanding the fact that Chinese is in fact a Nationality but psssst...don't tell the WRPs that).

I've reviewed this post of yours, uwot, and if you're implying that I, myself, have a tendency towards passive aggression then all I can say is that there are several varieties of it and I don't think the one that I adopt has the same nauseating, condescending, odious nature as the variety that fux and IC favour.
And can I just say what immense admiration and respect I have for you.

So you are give the finger-wag for being 'passive-aggressive' Harbal, and I am given the finger-wag for being 'aggressive-aggressive'. Could someone please explain what kind of 'aggressive' is allowed on this site?
