Are you suggesting a prophet might be concerned with the hoi polloi?Harbal wrote:And don't you mind what people are calling you?bobevenson wrote:It's not a choice, it's not a career, it's a calling.

No, I'm suggesting that being considered a knob head can't be what you want, surely. It's almost as though you're proud of being one.bobevenson wrote: Are you suggesting a prophet might be concerned with the hoi polloi?

You, my friend, are one of the hoi polloi whose opinions mean absolutely nothing to a prophet.Harbal wrote:No, I'm suggesting that being considered a knob head can't be what you want, surely. Re: The Ouzo Cross
I don't know if that's true because I'm not really sure what a prophet is. I know it's a biblical thing but that's not really an area I delve into very much. You, however, spend far too much time responding to peoples opinions to be able to claim that you're not interested in them.bobevenson wrote: You, my friend, are one of the hoi polloi whose opinions mean absolutely nothing to a prophet.

Which is what I'm asking you about as you said this, bobevenson wrote:... without divine guidance."[/color]

So presumably you think yourself not a fool so you are an agnostic but then where does that leave this 'divine guidance'?bobevenson wrote:Anybody who isn't an agnostic is a fool.

A prophecy is a divinely inspired message delivered by a prophet.Harbal wrote:I'm not really sure what a prophet is.

Responding to people's opinions has nothing to do with being interested in them.Harbal wrote:You spend far too much time responding to peoples opinions to be able to claim that you're not interested in them.

So you responded to them because you're not interested in them?bobevenson wrote: Responding to people's opinions has nothing to do with being interested in them.

Fortunately, being attacked by you is not unlike being assaulted by a feather duster.bobevenson wrote: While I have no intrinsic interest in other people's opinions, I am not reticent in attacking them.

Yeah, feathers, that sounds like something you'd be very knowledgeable about.Harbal wrote:Fortunately, being attacked by you is not unlike being assaulted by a feather duster.bobevenson wrote: While I have no intrinsic interest in other people's opinions, I am not reticent in attacking them.

Bob, I've tried to make something out of this exchange between you and me but you just don't seem to have enough imagination to make it entertaining. I don't suppose you can help your addiction to attention seeking but you should at least try to do it with a bit more style. Simply being provocative soon becomes boring, so, come on, make an effort.bobevenson wrote: Yeah, feathers, that sounds like something you'd be very knowledgeable about.
