Obviously there has to be a value past which the above claim does not hold

His erroneous claim doesn't hold true at any level, and that's not just my opinion, it's the opinion of today's mainstream economists.

However that is not an argument for decreasing the minimum wage. In actual dollars (adjusted for inflation) the minimum wage has drastically decreased.
In the 50s and 60s with its higher minimum wage, we were prosperous.

I just watched Chris Matthews. The fix is in. They finally talked about Sanders. The level of conversation was bobevenson level. Nothing substantive, only look at his hair, he looks like a hippy!
