There is a very interesting book that has been making the rounds:

Rise Up and Kill First

[This is one reason why it is part of common conception that “Israel assassinated Charlie Kirk”. And why not? You just do not get it: This is literally an existential battle for Israel within a context of Jewish history.

See, Janoah is in a position where he cannot ‘tell the truth’ and likely cannot even see it. That is why he is, in the most basic sense, merely a propagandist. More ownership interest, more necessity to define and control narratives: i.e. perception.

But you see “Israel” is in some major sense is the policy-pisition of Jewry generally — to the degree that Jewry is committed to Zionism and its objectives. And Israel is a state with a very committed and powerful state apparatus and a military-intelligence apparatus that, by definition, must fight an existential war that it must win. This is all connected to historical processes that extend literally millennia back in time.

"This is all connected to historical processes that extend literally millennia back in time"

Zionism's existence and efficacy extends only as far as the biggest non-Zionist investors' designs allow it to. If Zionism is even still around, it's because it has been piggybacked through time by imperialists who, like the rest of the world, know judaism is nonsense. So, you can bet that Zionism is the least of your worries. A pet theo-political fad that will one day be obsolete... one that has been allowed to exist as part of the imperial theater.

Your problem... i should say 'the' problem (unless your Jewish working class) is that nothing these two idiots Trump and Nety are doing will benefit any of them. If anything, they'll pay higher wartime taxes.

But even that loses steam. I used to get psyched about class consciousness and thought you could snap a guy outta his ignorance, but they don't seem to mind. They're happy to work eight hours a day and live in perpetual debt because their economy has been hijacked by the boojwahzee.

And it has lost no significant support from the US. It still gets funds and armaments and it still has the US veto in the UN.
See, you really do not have reason to be interested or to know.

There are dozens — hundreds — of articles and talks on the social crisis within Israel. Here is just one.

If you look at the polling, the vast majority of Israelis support the actions in Gaza, the West Bank and Lebanon. That hasn't diminished over time since Oct 7.

Sure, some people will write articles which show a divide, but taken overall it's a very small minority. Hardly something that counts as an existential crisis.

I have no interest in getting into a squabble about an issue you are not interested in and have little background. So I concede your point 100%. There is absolutely no crisis in Israeli society.

Alexis, I think Phyllo might not pick up that you are being sarcastic.

Phyllo, forget "articles", look at any of the Israeli news media sites. Even they will be leaving out background Israelis can take fro granted. For example, Bibi's support is mainly from the Mizrachi Israelis (Jews from Arab countries -- they and the Sephardim, not the Askenazi, are the majority)

It seems to me that this perspective, even if it be ‘true’, is useless in a discussion dealing on geo-political realities...

...The ultimate moral position that you take and hold, M. Seeds, is effectively useless,...

Well, I think that most of us would agree that as long as you’re talking about your ego, then you definitely got the “blimp” part right, for just like the Hindenburg, your ego is huge and full of gas and is destined for a catastrophic structural failure.

Also, you left off an important part of the quote you are responding to...
seeds wrote: ↑Sun Sep 27, 2026 2:00 am Furthermore,...

...hell is a philosophy forum in which those of us with at least two working brain cells are forced to witness and endure the words of those same sleepwalking humans mentioned above who cannot fathom the implications of the truth of reality that I just now presented in the preceding paragraph.
What your attenuated (sleepwalking) level of consciousness has kept you from understanding during all of these years of conversing with me is that I, myself, am fully aware of how my ideas are - not so much “useless,”...

...but more at “forbidden” from being fully proven and accepted as being true - lest they breach the integrity of this vast “dream-like” illusion that we are all, again, “sleepwalking” through.

In other words, my ideas are only meant to be viewed as a "comforting understanding" that is meant to assure everyone that - in the end - not only will the truth of our ultimate and eternal destiny finally be revealed to us,...

...but we will find out that that truth will be wonderful beyond our wildest dreams, and that absolutely no one...

(regardless of what religion they were a member of while on Earth)

...will be excluded from the equal and perfect destiny that awaits all human souls.

So yes, you are perfectly correct in proclaiming that my ideas are “useless,”...

...but they are only useless to the sleepwalking morons who are too dumb (too un-awake) to realize how ridiculous it is for a Jewish person, for example, not to understand that if they had been born into the arms of a Palestinian mother (a Muslim),...

...then they themself would be on the receiving end of the hatred that they and their fellow Jewish boneheads hold and direct at their Gazan brothers and sisters (and vice-versa, of course).

I’ll continue to try if need be, but I’m not sure if I can make the utter insanity of hating and killing each other over religion and religious divisions any clearer than that.

You always run away.

Do all the interested people with an extensive background agree that Israeli society is in an existential crisis?

I do not run away, it is rather that I do not want to get bogged down into an attempt to convince you that Israel is in a real mess.

I propose that it is possible, with a little bit of effort, to broaden one’s perspectives by researching a bit more. Many people with extensive backgrounds are in fact saying there is an on-going crisis in Israeli society.

The more that one understands this, and especially American Jewry’s and American Zionist’s changing relationship with the Zionist project, the better one can understand the rising mood of anti- or counter-Zionism which, obviously, blends into classical anti-Semitism.

You don't to convince me that "Israel is in a real mess".

But I think the mess is that Gaza, West Bank, etc have not produced large scale backlash. It hasn't produced a crisis or a unified opposition.

I have zero interest in convincing you. Take it as a suggestion that it is possible. Then — but only if you have a genuine interest in the issue (I gather your interest is marginal) — research the question.

I propose that if you or anyone make the effort I outline, that you will yourself become convinced. Your conviction will not depend on someone else’s shared opinion but will be grounded in personal knowledge.

With that, let’s bring the discussion of the question to a compkete halt.

Your view stands. Why ever bother to modify or change it?

Look in the mirror.

Look at how you lecture.

You have your rigid certainty. You understand it all.

You have analyzed me and come to your conclusions.

You don't want to talk to me. That's fine.

Simply put — and I say this as modestly as possible under my unusual circumstances — I am always right. Otherwise, why would I take the time and such pains to pontificate?!

I have mirrors all over the house! Even at my desk I have one. I’m looking in it right now and winking coyly. You might think that preening is an ego-activity but I use it as a means to control and transcend what little ego remains.
You understand it all.
Thank Heavens this is true. If everyone would get on the same page here I assure you things would go much better.

Let’s go back then.

In brassy baritone I propound:
The nation of Israel, and Jewry generally, and certainly Zionism, and definitely American Zionism, is in a crisis such as it had never faced in the Postwar Era.
You have 2 choices. Agree or agree strongly. What’s it going to be?!

The thing about this astounding and unrealistic idealism is that it negates that there are genuine and important differences in the world. It negates therefore ‘the world’. In order for this vision you have to become manifest, everyone in the world would have to become the same, be reduced to the same, think and see the same. As far as I can tell I do not think such a thing will ever happen. So, on this earth-plane, the way it has been set up is for it to be as it is. You imagine, or project, that it could ever be different and berate the ‘morons’ and ‘sleepwalkers’ for existing in that world they did not create.

So again I say: Fine. If you have this vision you know what you must do. You retreat into an ideal pose vis-a-vis that world and hold it all in contempt. Soon enough everyone dies and, according to you, wakes up in another reality so marvelous and wonderful that the dream dissipates into sheer blissfulness. And then what?

And you exist in this blissfulness already, right? So I just don’t get what you are complaining about.

The nightmarish dream of this world is then exactly what it has been created to be. And only an individual, by choice, by awareness, could opt to 1) see differently 2) act differently.

The Iranian War is a compounded situation.
One element of the compound is death.

Here’s some other elements, observed by a “terrorism expert.”
The expert leaves judgment of those elements to the reader,
While presenting reasonable implications.

Priceless.

Trump’s Final Showdown With Iran
The regime better hope Democrats don’t win in November.
https://spectator.org/trumps-final-showdown-with-iran/

Not mentioned … yesterday the US Treasury secretary, whose has been designing the economic war on Iran, said that in two weeks Iran will have no more oil to trade, thus no more income.

This information is likely alien to a diet of Left-wing bias.
