Full text: Netanyahu’s address at the UN General Assembly

“I want you to listen to my words carefully: One day, and it may not be far away, the Iranian people will be free. Their murderous regime will be toppled by its lies, by its corruption, by its cruelty,” the Israeli prime minister said.

(Sept. 24, 2026 / JNS)
The following is a transcript of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s address during the 81st U.N. General Assembly in New York City, on Sept. 24, released by the prime minister’s office. It has been lightly edited for style.

“Mr. President,

Before I begin, just a quick announcement:

If there are any other moral cowards who haven’t yet left this hall—please do so now. Thank you very much.

Ladies and gentlemen,

Fourteen years ago, I stood on this podium, and I drew a red line.

I vowed to prevent Iran’s murderous dictatorship from developing atomic bombs, nuclear weapons aimed at destroying Israel, nuclear weapons that could threaten the entire world.

That’s exactly what we did.

Now let me say something that might surprise you.

Devastating Iran’s nuclear facilities was hard. It was very hard to do. But for me, it was one of the easiest decisions I’ve ever had to make as prime minister. Because if we hadn’t done it, we’d all be dead.

Now, you want to hear the ultimate irony?

In defending itself, Israel is also defending many of the countries whose delegates just left this hall!

In fact, I want you to know that many of their leaders even thank us privately for taking out Iran’s nukes.

It’s hard to imagine more mind-blowing hypocrisy, but that’s exactly what it is.

You can't.

Oh wait, we don't have to imagine it.

War is hell, and irrational, no matter how much you argue that it is not.
No matter how much you want to irrationally blame.

Those countries who privately thank the US and Israel, but then walk out of the UN in demonstration against US and Israel, are not rational, but there you have it ... the irrational people you support against the interests of the United States, Israel, and every other country in the region threatened and intimidated by Iran, taking the benefits of Iranian opposition while backstabbing those facing the situation. It's a bloodsucking mentality and attitude admired by the Left and their aims for socialism where it doesn't work, which is everywhere ... which explains the support of an Iranian government by stupid Westerners, a government that terrorizes its own people.

There's no need to try reason with such stupidity, because you can't.

People are walking out of the UN Assembly because the US and Israel are stupid enough to make themselves look like warmongers and validate the contempt the IRGC has for the West. Attacking Iran rallies more people behind their government and gives the IRGC the excuse to crack down on dissidents as "traitors helping the enemy". Are you unable to think? Do you not have the ability to put yourself into a more objective perspective? I don't think you're evil. You're just criminally stupid. You're playing into the hand of the Russians and Chinese who want to take the lead. Seriously, if you're the Russians and Chinese, you're savoring every minute the US is wearing itself out in another forever war. They call themselves the "Global resistence" attacking them gives them further validation. Trump and Netanyahu are playing checkers. The Russians are playing chess and the Chinese are playing "Go". Much more complex strategies involved. Heck read the Art of War. The primary wisdom of the Art of War is that a fool goes to war hoping to win the wise man wins the war before it starts.

You're a f****** idiot. Step aside and allow intelligent people to take over, idiot.

Gary is an armchair general.
He knows what to do, and how to get it done.

Don't be surprised if any letters he writes to Iran are in sympathy with the poor ayatollahs abused by that Trump monster ... the boogie man.

Gary thinks I'm in charge of the war, and if I step aside, he will be in charge of the war.

Poor Gary. So confused he's a sub-idiot.
I see your idiot, and raise you a sub-idiot.

The war has ensued. It has already started. Get with the program. Snap out of your fantasy.

The primary lesson of the Art of War, after war has started, is don't let the enemy know what you're really thinking.
And here you take Trump's words, spoken to the enemy, as what he's really thinking.

Here’s the don, schooling Gary.

Just admit it. It will lift that burden you've been trying to hide.

Gary, you've already proven your sub-idiocy and confusion.
Your need to keep reinforcing that is only necessary for yourself.

Here, let me straighten you out.

I'm not in charge of who lives and who dies.
I'm just telling it like it is, objectively, which is not advocacy.
On the other hand, TDS has riddled your brain like Swiss cheese.
Would an MRI detect that?

And here you take Trump's words, spoken to the enemy, as what he's really thinking.

YOU NEVER say you are going to obliterate a people from the Earth. NEVER give another country that kind of incentive to fight you to the last man. It's f****** STUPID to say that even if he doesn't mean it.

Well, Gary should probably never invoke Machiavelli after that kind of reaction. He might have a seizure.

I already gave you a big enough ration of the incivility you were requesting. Don’t be a pig.

I don't know how you sleep at night. I have bouts of dread over things like this. I take it you don't? It doesn't bother you to see a war spiraling out of control, the body count building, along with displaced civilians. It doesn't bother you to think that human civilization as we know it could be at stake.

There’s Walker repeating Netanyahu’s bullsh*t as if it were gospel truth. The derangement is strong with this one.

It seems to me that this perspective, even if it be ‘true’, is useless in a discussion dealing on geo-political realities. It is therefore the ultimate conversation winner when conversation is an inter-personal game.

The political machinations and the warring in the Middle East can and I think should be seen as non-different than all political and human struggles throughout history. A simple picture, a simple interpretation, might be useful to understanding. The ultimate moral position that you take and hold, M. Seeds, is effectively useless. If that is your religious and philosophical position, then it seems to me that, like Goethe after the Napoleonic wars, you set yourself up for total withdrawal from the affairs of the world. But you appear here it seems to me just to ‘rehearse’ a position of sheer, absolute idealism. OK, Ok: you win.

Who can describe ‘what is going on’ in realist terms? And avoid all the emotionalism of sensitive, emotional persons fraught with existential angst? If you are not aware of this social angst, and the tendency of individuals to project this content out onto those events that cone to us electronically, then it seems to me that one is not seeing things squarely. You seem to me, Seeds, intensely involved psychically in events that are so completely mundane, so typical of earthly life, but which seem to have you tied up in knots of contempt. The result? Anguish. Anger. Frustration without end.

So let’s be frank: In this conversation [sic] it is not geo-politics that is being discussed, it is actually a rehearsal of emotional states of individuals in the grip of general angst. What will be resolved here? Nothing. It is all rehearsal and these rehearsals have other functions for those individuals that get hooked into the performances.
