During a psychosis, I don't interpret reality correctly. It's a bit like a dream state while I'm completely awake. I lose my ability to act rationally because I'm deluded by hallucinations or unrealistic thoughts. So, perhaps the "actual" problem would be that I have hallucinations or unrealistic thoughts when I'm in a psychosis.

I don't think Alcohol has anything to do with schizophrenia, as far as curing it. My problems can't be solved with alcohol, and most of the meds I'm on say not to drink alcohol while on them. Alcohol is a natural depressant, and I don't think I need to be any more depressed.
