Re: Hello
On a completely irrelevant tangent I wonder if the fundamental nature of conciousness is not electrical ... may tie in with the electrochemical functioning of the brain ... could provide a sort of concious dimension to all of physical reality for those seeking some sort of pantheism ... leptons are...

Re: Hello
I have no formal training in philosophy ... just a desire to unlearn. Making my living in electrical design and project management ... I live in Canada and don't watch hockey ... is that a contradiction or an outright violation of natural law? My hobbies are camping, mountain biking, astronomy and ...

Re: Hello
Have you read much from Joseph Campbell? Love Joseph Campell although its been a few years (Hero with a Thousand Faces ... I think) ... not to be confused with my brother in law ... zero with 2 faces. Seriously though, we are all on a journey, a quest, a circular path through 'crucifiction' (typo i...

Thank-you for the hearty welcome; I look forward to the conversation.
I think nuttily, therefore I am a nut.

Re: Dropping a dime on W.L. Craig
Greylorn; Wow, I think I just wandered into a boxing ring with a heavyweight who's come out swinging (I'm a lightweight) ! You might just be able to teach me a lesson - and that's what I'm here for - expansion of my understanding - bring it on ! First, a few preliminary points regarding my earlier s...

Re: Dropping a dime on W.L. Craig
I think you are absolutely correct and well said, might I add. My comment was emotionally driven, somewhat reactionary, a bit short sighted, and not really intended to support a rigorous comprehensive position; you were right to correct me - just venting - sorry about that. After all, if we didn't h...

Re: Dropping a dime on W.L. Craig
Thank-you for exposing Craig. How can this fraudulent claim to 'reason' end up in a magazine like 'Philosophy Now' ?

Re: Does God Exist?
This has to be one of the worst articles I've ever read on the subject.
To start with, the author has generally built the conclusion into each premise and then takes great liberties with connecting his 'conclusions' to some vague notion of 'God'.
