I think in order to be cheered by philosophy one must first be willing to suspend skepticism and accept that other's viewpoints could be a more accurate version of reality than the one the reader is clinging to. The problem is that one has to have a reason for being skeptical of the more dour takes ...

The problem with this categorization is that it lacks the appreciation that reality is much more complex than 'x are bad' 'y are good'...I dare say that your ad hominem does little to advance knowledge and only serves to perpetuate the idea that name-calling is a legitimate form of argumentation.

Write for yourself, whether or not people buy it is inconsequential. You'll likely espouse ideas that have already been held for centuries by various philosophers...being a 'deep thinker' is not the same as being an original thinking. ;-)
