I've got a suggestion for many of you. I can dig the Zen-ness of aphilosophy, but I come to this forum to argue and cuss, not to meditate. So I bid this thread adieu.

It sounds to me as if a-philosophy has been covered more thoroughly in eastern philosophy. I'm not seeing/reading anything new here. I like the concept, but I feel like I have read it in better sources. I understand that someone with a philosophical bent, might tend to become a little too analytical...

I can see why this thread is called "aphilosophy". There's no philosophy going on here. Just a bunch of posters arguing about their personalities. Why don't we all go away and come back when we get our shirts on, guys. I think aphilosophy is kind of a bad name for a rather interesting conc...

I agree that atheism is a "belief system" because I have enjoyed conversations with enough atheists in enough environments and conversing about enough common topics to clearly see a pattern of commonly held beliefs that is as consistent as those of most religious groups I have known. This ...

I'm getting the impression that aphilosophers pursue wonder and awe in the manner that philosophers pursue wisdom and truth, the former being much more accessible if only one has the eyes to see it. I imagine aphilosophy to be a right-brain activity while philosophy is more a left-brain activity. Th...
